"I got the extra strength adhesive and they stuck right to the side of my couch and the corner of my recliner. Both of these are cloth covered. My large Maine Coon Cat went over to the side of the couch and all his paws could do was slide back and forth over the surface. He was surprised and kept sliding his paws back and forth then finally gave up. These things work. This new adhesive can take the abuse of very large and strong paws and still stay where you put them; including a corner section of a recliner."

"I had such high hopes for these as my cats were on the verge of ruining my new sofa and love seat. Had to buy 3 pkgs to get enough and that came to roughly $27. Almost immediately after applying these strips they start popping off. They will not stick to the fabric! Grrrr!!!!!! So frustrating! I probably would have been better off putting clear package tape on the furniture."

"I never write reviews, but I have to counter those already made for this product. I have two microfiber sofas and these stick really well. Based on the reviews, I thought I'd have to use packing tape to keep them on! Nope. They've adhered for more than a week and show no sign of failing. Further, they deter my lovely cat from shredding them with his nails. If you have a microfiber sofa, buy these!"

Waste of money

"I bought these accidentally at the store. Thought they were the double sided strips. But tried to use them anyway. Totally useless! They will not stick to the couch for more than a few minutes. Wish I had read the reviews before I threw them out. I would have asked for my money back - and they are not cheap. I think I paid more than $8 for 5 or 6 small pieces of this plastic stuff. Even if it did work, it is way overpriced."

"These work really well on doors and cabinets. Our dog is always scratching at the treat drawer, and on the doors when there is a cat or squirrel outside. It was ruining our doors until we got these. Highly recommend them!"

"When my cats began scratching the corners of a new fabric sofa, my husband applied clear packing tape to the corners. He had to pull up some unstick-able particles with the tape first, but then he put it on and it stayed. The cats don't seem to like it at all, and it is completely clear. You can hardly tell it's there."

Works Great with Modification

"The Fresh Kitty Furniture Protectors are flat. My couch corner has a sharp corner. When I first put one on, it only stuck on one of the strips. To make a perfect fit (it works great!), I bent the plastic Kitty Protector by heating it up with an iron (I first covered the plastic with cloth). It now fits perfect and my couch looks great!"

Fresh Kitty Furniture Protectors - Don't Adhere

"Bought the 5 pack of furniture protectors at PETCO today and applied them to the corners of a hassock that my cat has been scratching. The hassock is fabric. The protectors just don't adhere. They will stay on for a short time if I press really hard on the adhesive strip, but a half hour later they are off again. Did anyone ever test this product? To me its a total waste of money."

"They need to give you give more then three plastic pieces and make them a tad bit longer. I used these to cover the places where my cat was currently scratching. She stopped scratching in those area's and moved on to scratching other areas on the funiture."

"It's taken some time for our cats to completely stop scratching the sofa and then the spots around the furniture protectors, but they have finally moved onto their scratching posts and cardboard. The Fresh Kitty Protectors have completely saved our furniture and they're not sticky on the outside, so they last for a really long time!"
