"I bought this mainly because I liked the way it looks. I wanted a covered litter box and this is just so much nicer looking than other covered litter boxes. Mine is a dark blue color and I like that it is nice looking (I know it's just a litter box but looks matter). I do think this is a little on the small side. My cat is medium sized but has very long hair and I don't think it's the best fit for her. I might end up buying the larger one with the little staircase in it. I haven't had any problems with the liners except that they don't fit very well. It's hard to tell if the charcoal filters help at all, but I don't think they hurt. Overall, I'm happy with mine."

Coolest Litterbox Ever

The Booda Dome cat litter box scores high in both areas.
Not only does it look like an ultramodern cat house from the pages of Architectural Digest-Feline Edition, but it keeps my cat from making cat litter track art all over the carpet. The Booda Dome also provides my cat with the privacy she needs, so she no longer looks at me with an embarassed expression when she has to go potty.
It's also super cheap. Heck, for the $20 price tag, I'd live in one of these domes (which come in various fashion colors) if they made one in my size."

A better idea than product

"I purchased this dome for my new kittens. This litter box is not very spacious if you have two cats that do everything together like mine. They barely had room to turn around. And forget standing up straight. I eventually took the cover off so they could fit inside but then they were kicking letter allover. I ggave up and purchased a more practical, less stylish model that the cats love."

We Like the Booda-Wish It Didn't Leak

"PROS:
1) Love the styling and colors. Booda is as mod as a litter box can be. The round shape, for whatever reason, makes the box less noticeable than a regular box; maybe because it's not so ugly.
2) The disc filter on top of unit actually works. If you change out the disc your box will smell better.
3) The bottom pan is nice and deep. My cats like this and so do I.

Cons:
1) Some reviewers said their Booda doesn't leak. Mine leaks often. It's annoying. I bought a Rubbermaid tote, took the lid off and turned it over and I use it as a catch pan under the litter box. I clean the box out every day and about every week and a half I have to clean urine from the tote lid.
2) The lid doesn't snap on securely all the time and I have to double check to see if it's in place.
3) The space inside is a bit smaller than I'd like to see. My cats don't seem to mind, but I do think they would agree that the Booda could be a bit bigger.

Booda is "Da Bomb"!

"I have used Booda products for well over 10 year now. This box is my newest purchase.
I had a larger Booda box (the one with the twist stairway coming of out if) before this one. I had two cats then. They loved it and so did I. One of my babies passed away a few months ago - so I no longer needed the huge box. I purchased this one about 2 months ago.
As usual, I am blown away by Booda's products. I have always had a Booda box of one sort or another since I started having cats as INDOOR pets over 10 years ago.
It is sanitary, it never leaks, my cat never knocks the top loose.
I have used clumping litter ever since it became available. So, I don't have any suggestions for the people that use liners with the type of littler you have to throw out completely - other than you should go to a natural clumping litter that is flushable. :-)"

Booda Dome Litter Box Review

"I liked the contemporary colors and that pan and lid were the same color.
The booda creates unsanitary conditions in and around the litter because it easily leaks. The pan is not deep enough and there is no ledge to further prevent leakage. Also the lid is easily knocked out of place.
A deeper pan with an outside ledge that somehow locks into place would address and correct these weaknesses."

"I just got my newest Booda Dome this past week. My cats love it just as much as the Booda Dome One-Step that I also have. With a cat mat in front there is hardly any litter that goes on the floor. The Booda Dome is a great litterbox also because the odor protection that fitler provides. Two thumbs way up!!!"

"my klementine (9 lbs. and fluffy as all get out) absolutely loves this box! she has no problem getting around in the box and has never tracked or thrown litter out. we do use feline pine, though, so trackage is almost a non-issue anyway. she sticks her head out of the lid when she does her business, steps out, then climbs halfway back in to dig.
the quality is great and i've never had a problem with the filters staying in or the liners staying in place. i use cheaper drawstring liners made for rectangular pans and they work perfectly.
all in all, for a medium sized cat, this litter box rocks!"

Nice Idea

"I had high hopes for this box. My cats have always shared a litter box and small sizes worked fine. I replaced a framed medium rectangular box (cracked after 10 good years)- with this one.
I liked the Style, ease of use and the odor containment. It was easy enough to clean and the plastic durable.
My cats took to it quickly. But it did not work out for us.
The tan color was nice and fit easily into our decor. It did contain the odor. But the filter holder had to be rigged to keep the filter in place, the clasp seems to open too easily but was easily remedied with a piece of plastic wedge.
It attracted an unusual amount of dust, unlike our other pans. Our cats are between 10-15 lbs, not very tall, so we thought the size would be okay- but once they were in they did not have much room to turn around, so we often had spills down the opening and onto the floor. Also it is not very deep and the cats seem to urinate on the sides inside the hood, while this protects our wall, the urine spills stays near the rim of the plastic liner and would leak when the hood was removed- making for a messy clean up. I rotated the hood to get max use from the litter- but the spills cont. The tracking was excessive, I think this was related to the size and depth- as this was not a problem with our other box or the litter I use.
I used the Booda liners and (others) which are all rectangular - they fit ok and stayed in place -when the hood was on. I use clumping litter. The round shape made for difficult scooping. Because of the small size I had to change the litter and liners more frequently. because of the size and depth.
After about 2 months, I gave up. The spills, the tracking and the mess became unbearable.
I could not reccommed this product."

"We have used this box from the start, for about 4 years now. We never had a problem with it. It is a little small though.
The cons we discovered with this box is, the filter never worked. The linners never stayed in placed. The lid comes off very easily. Most of the time when we have to go potty, it runs off the dome onto mommy's floor.
Overall its a good box for 2 small fellow kittys!!

Our FIRST Real Litter Box!

"My first cat came from an abusive home and as such she was not an innocent little kitty. She came with many experiences, likes and dislikes.
So her new home, me and all the surroundings had to pass the test. It seems as though she knew this was a first class litter box...it was then and still is now.
The plastic used in the construction is a nice thickness, with some give to it so the filter holder, top and bottom of the box itself all fit together well.
I've always used the plastic booda liners and air filters so there is no oder from her previous uses.
While she has graduated to a much larger box now, we still have this first one and many a rescue kitty have explored and used it.
Appreciate the booda product line and recommend them to everyone with their own kitty."

"I have had many cats and many litter boxes, and I absolutly love this one. Its really ment for a small to medium sized cat, not sure how a larger cat might do in it. The design is really great, very sleek. If you live in a smaller apartment, and can't hide your little box, this is just great. It looks unabstracitve in any room. The filter keeps the smell out, and it doesn't draw attention to itself. I love the fact that kitty can't spill litter all over the place...she seems to like it too!!! Oh and they come in 3 colors, we got the light coco color.. very nice."

"I'm an owner of a medium-sized adult cat and had a hard time choosing a litter box because my bathroom is oddly shaped (it can best be described as a trapezoid!), and I only had a small triangular corner where the litter box could go. When I spotted the Booda Dome at Petco, I was so happy, and as it turns out, its circular shape fits *perfectly* in that small corner! The color (I have the purple one) and charming design are plusses as well! Never thought I'd be able to find a purple-colored litter box! My cat took to it right away and has been using it consistently since the beginning. But like other reviewers, the Booda Dome does seem a bit small, even for a medium-sized cat. She usually has her head sticking out of the hole when she's using the box! (it's kind of cute, actually) And she has to jump out and back in to do her burying and scratching around. Round shape is easy for cleaning too (I use a plastic liner)...the litter slides right off and into the trash!"

Just a little too small!

"I loved the Booda Dome litter box because of the sleek design. I thought the cats would love it because of the tall dome and circular region in which they could turn around easily in and dig. However it is just a little too small. I bought three Booda's, as I have three cats (two long haired persians and one DSH). They all have trouble keeping all their body parts in the Dome and sometimes leave a paw, tail, or bum out of the door while they are digging holes on the inside. It is great quality and I would recommend it for smaller cats, at least ones with short hair that don't take up as much room. NOT FOR FLUFFY FELINES!! :)"

"it's a nice large litter box of good quality but if you have cats that urinate on the walls, it's no good. the way the top sits on the base allows for urine to seep thru and drip onto the floor. i have to line the floor with cardboard and newspapers to prevent the urine from getting on the carpet. "

"got this for my 2 kittens, they used to fling the litter all over, now it stays in the dome, as a bonus it's also another hidey hole for them and when I take the lid off to clean they like to dive under it and suprise me when I lift it to put it back on, they still track a little after usage and the ramped dome may solve that problem, but space was an issue and the extra width made me choose this one, only other drawback is the vent cover can pop open if rambunctious kitties jump on dome, but the dome stays on pan"

"My 12 lb. Fritz refused to use this - the ceiling and width were too cramped for him so he would use the rug in front of the dome. I had to give it away. It was a nice idea, tho, and the smaller cat liked it fine."
