Can't close when stacking these

"These are a great idea but have some huge flaws in reality.
When stacking two units, both full of food, the circular opening of the unit on the bottom becomes distorted, which makes it impossible to turn the lid and fully close the bottom unit. Additionally, the "airtight seal" is too thin and too loose. The seals have come off both of our "vaults" and have become misplaced time after time.
If it is possible to fix these problems, I'm all for getting new ones, but I am ready to return the ones I have. These "vittles vaults" are much too expensive for the level of performance I have seen."

"I have both the large and small size of this stacker. One for our dog and one of the cat.
It keeps food pest free and in an area where we are at war with ants and other critters, this has been the best. The dogs can't chew into it either :)
The way the opening is angled, there are no spills. The cups inside are great for measuring out the appropriate amount of food for your pet.
It is a nice high impact plastic. More importantly for me, the lid is very easy to spin open and closed. As someone with arthritis and connective disorder in my hands, the simplicity and ease is important to me.
The fact that stacking the bins saves me space by not having big bags of food slouched over in the kitchen cupboard is an added plus.
I would absolutely recommend this product and in fact already have."

"I wanted something simple and not unattractive to store Chip's food. The Vittle vault is very well made and keeps food totally fresh. The flies can't get to it and it fits perfectly on the kitchen shelf."

"THIS IS THE GREATEST INVENTION FOR KEEPING DRY DOGFOOD FRESH. WE BOUGHT THE SMALLER MODEL FOR A RECENTLY ACQUIRED COCKER PUP. AFTER DISCOVERING HOW FRESH IT WAS KEEPING HIS FOOD AND HOW NEAT AND ORDERLY IT APPEARED IN OUR KITCHEN, WE PURCHASED THIS LARGE MODEL FOR OUR GERMAN SHEPHERD SERVICE DOG.

"I tried to get away with a cheaper version. Now I've got the Gamma Vittles Vault Stackables, but I'm still working on getting the rest of the moths out of my house!! They stack wonderfully (heavy stuff in bottom one, please) and it's easy to get the bird seed in and out. I wouldn't even try to use them outside because the squirrels have been known to chew through coolers."

"I am a K9 handler in the military and we have used the same container for years in my dog kennels to feed 9 dogs daily. It's opened and shut at least twice a day for three years with new dog food going in it every week. This thing is great. I dont know about pouring birdseed or cat food in it or stacking it but using it by itself for dog food theres nothing better out there."

"Love this product! Ants had been getting in our dog food. With the air tight seal, that's no longer a problem. We buy 40 lb bags of dog food and couldn't find a container that would store the entire bag. This does. Each of our three dogs require a different dog food. These containers stack well and do not take up much space. All three of our problems solved with one product. Who could ask for more?"

"Its absolutely great! really works and seals the freshness of the food!!! the only thing that im concern about is they said that this is for 60 lbs. of food but when i bought a 35 lbs. of food it almost like 3/4 of the container already. i was hoping to buy 2 35 lbs and the rest should just go to my small contaner but i don't think all of that extra food will fit in there... because i think it will be much more than extra 10 lbs left. even though i put it sideways or other way still same thing but the best way to have more space on it isto put it upright position like in the picture. but all in all everthing is great!!!! and my golden doodle loves it!!!!"

"I've been using the Vittles Vault for about two weeks now, and I can safely say that it has kept my pup's food nice and fresh. I ordered the 40-lb. stackable Vault, and it doesn't quite fit the whole bag of food. I needed to use a Tupperware for the overflow. If you turn the Vault on its side, there's a little more space in there, but it is not stackable in that position. However, it's worth it to me to keep my dog's food fresh, crunchy, and full of nutrients."

Perfect; just what I needed

"I always by the larger (35 lbs or more) dry dog food bags so to save money but by the time I'm half-way through I'm picking parts of the bag lining out of the food (due to rolling it down after taking food out) and the food is noticeably not as fresh. With the recent addition of a second dog in the house (two 70+ lbs dogs = a lot of food) I had enough with the bag and got two stackables (one from a petco store, one from online). They have held up great and the food is clearly just as fresh the last day as it was the first."

"I purchased this food holder over 5 years ago. It is still holding strong! I love being able to pour my 40lb bags of dog food in there & not have bags hanging around. Keeps the food fresh longer too!
Another plus is that the top is replaceable. I lost the original & was able to buy a new one that fit perfectly!
I would recommend this product to any pet owner who buys food in bulk or to those who buy in small quantity because bulk is a pain handle. Very durable & strong. ~no I do not work for them, LOL!~"

"Why buy bulk if you can't keep the food fresh by the time you get to using it? I have these containers pretty much for everything. I have one for my koi food which I keep outside next to the pond. It keeps the food nice and dry, free of any pests; even though it's located where it's directly exposed to the elements (rain, sun, etc.); I also keep my dog food in another one; Funny thing was that the raccoons have figured out that the pet food was stored in one of these, but they can't seem to get at it. I don't think they can smell the food in it, probably just that they have a higher IQ than other typical wild animals. Finally, I keep my dry food for human consumption in several of these containers too! I buy rice in 50 lbs bags, as well as, flax seeds (golden and brown varieties) in bulk. These containers keep all of it fresh and dry. I scoop out what I need into smaller containers to minimize the amount of times I do expose the contents to air. Highly recommended!"

"The Gamma Vittles Vault pet food storage containers are by far the best constructed and most durable pet food storage containers on the market and I should know since I've tried a myriad of other kinds and brands.
I own three of these in various sizes. They provide a very tight seal which keeps insects and moisture out. The heavy duty construction and threaded lid are far superior to other brands that I've tried. If you're looking for a lasting pet food storage solution that works as it should and one that you'll be happy with over the long term, these can't be beat."

"Why spend extra money on quality dog food if you don't store it properly? I've found this container to be well built and simple to use. It keeps my dogs food fresh and safe. And I have yet to fill it all the way, it easily holds a bag of my dogs food (33 lbs). And it isn't too noticeable and is easy to store out of sight."
