No more horsing around!!

"We live on a farm and I have 2 pups that were very persistent about harrassing our horses. I knew if something wasn't done to stop this dangerous behavior, our cute pups would be seriously injured or killed. I ordered two Remote Trainers and I received them very promptly. I tried them and immediately got the needed response - no more chasing and biting at the horses. A couple of days using the product was all that was needed. I didn't feel that the correction was too harsh, but just enough to stop the unwanted behavior. Our pups no longer have any interest in the horses and I can finally relax! Thanks for a great product!"

"I was at my wits end running out of training techniques to try on my dog for behavior mod. I finally resorted to this shock collar. To my surprise it only took 2 attempts the tone and shock combination and now I only use the tone to correct unwanted behavior. Great collar!!!!"

"I purchased the Little Dog Remote Trainer after seeing the effectiveness of the Big Dog Trainer. I am so pleased. It works great. My little eight pound mixed-Chihuahua responds at low settings to both tone & stimulation. My only complaint is that the receiver battery is already in need of replacement after only a month's use which is only minor in comparison to the effectiveness of the trainer. If you have a "barky" little dog, I highly recommend the PetSafe Deluxe Little Dog Remote Trainer."

"I'm very sad to say that this device could have been great, however, it does not fire every time. When training a dog, consistency is the key. This product, even on the first day, did not work every time. It is not fair to the animal to not be fair and consistent. I will be returning this item, and may look into another brand."

"I bought this for my 6 month old puppy. She cries, barks and howls while she is alone. I thought that this product would help keep her from doing these unhealthy behaviors. It helps while she is outside; it keeps her from digging and eating plants if I am constantly watching her. However, the crying and barking only get worse. I plan on returning this product and exchanging it for the spray bark control collar."

"I got this to help control my jack russel terrier on hikes, at the dog park and in the home when needed. We adopted our 6 mo. old JRT in December (we have 2 pomeranians as well) not knowing the extent of his behavior problems. The poor little guy is afraid of men and barks at them non-stop especially if they come into our home. We literally had to stop having guests to our house until we tried this product! Now, he keeps it on the majority of the time and probably gets "beeped" (NOT buzzed) twice a day. Since we got it last week we are still working on specific behaviors like barking and guarding the door but are working towards taking it off more time in the day.
I never thought that we would use the auditory beep feature but our dog responds to it and rarely needs a shoch. I think he has been shocked 3 or 4 times and now responds to the beep alone.
Not only are we happier but he is happier too! When we had a man over to the house last week he barked once, we beeped him and he went right up to the man, sniffed him and then played with him! It was amazing! He doesn't have to freak out anymore and can just relax when we go out or have people into our home.
This tool allows the dog to calm down enough to properly train them. I would recommend this to anyone!"

Great Last Resort for Training!

"I purchased this collar as a last resort training aid. My adopted terrier mix was out of control with her jumping and nipping. I tried obedience training (both classes and private) and many positive reinforcement methods but nothing helped with her bad behavior. She is very smart but also very stubborn. This collar was well worth every penny! After only needing to shock her 2-3 times, she responds to the tone. Most of the time now, just seeing me pick up the remote corrects her behavior. I've been using the collar daily for about a month and the batteries are still working. I have not had any trouble with the buttons sticking. The only complaint that I have is the quality of the clasp. It is very cheaply made and difficult to undo. Other than that, my dog and I are both happier now that she behaves...most of the time!"

"I bought the product for my cocker spaniel puppy. It worked well the first day. But then it only worked when it wanted to. I could be 20 feet away from the dog and be pressing buttons and it just wouldn't do anything - sound or shock. I have a different collar for my german shephards and it works so much better. Not worth the price or frustration at all."

"We had a border collie mix that was out of control - we couldn't seem to break him of the bad things he liked to do. It's only been 2 weeks and he is still a work in progress but the difference is amazing. He no longer jumps up and bites."

"I have to agree with another reviewer who said the buttons stick...they do! So care is needed. I found if you lay the flat of your thumb across the buttons it helps. Don't press straight down. The collar works well with my dog for some of her problems, but she's either bullheaded or dumb, because she can be getting the shock on the 4 setting (the one determined to give her pause without pain) but she will ignore it if she's determined. Overall, the product is good."

"My dog responds to the tone. When in the house if he acts up I verbally speak the cpommands. If hedoes not respond I then use the tone. He goes right to his crate and sits down. Thank you Best product I have bought for him!!!!"

"We tried everything to train my Mini Dachshund to stop barking-this was the last resort. We got this in the mail on a Friday, and by Monday-she didn't need it anymore. We didn't need to use the stimulation higher than a 3. It worked great!"

"This is by far the most productive/effecient tool in training my dogs. As the busy mom of 5 children and owner of 5 dogs, I simply don't have a lot of excess quiet training time on my hands and needed something that would deliver more satisfactory results in a timely and humane way whether distractions were a factor or not. This colar was the answer to all my doggie frustrations/problems. After just a few minutes (on a walk) my dog was more attentive to me and respondant to my commands immediately. Whether a cat, squirrel, or other animal was involved or not he would stop dead in his tracks the moment I gave the command even if he was already at a full run and only feet away from his target. That's pretty amazing! I only had to zap him (at low force #4) once or twice and the rest of the time he only required the audio beep warning. After the first day he was a well trained dog. The colar sits in a basket on a shelf now but I loaned it to a neighbor this morning who was walking his new lab puppy. After walking only halfway around our country circle he said he already sees a difference in his dogs attentiveness to him. He plans to order one as well. The best $90 I've ever spent on my dogs. The colar was so effective that even without it now our dog obeys the commands/tricks given by my 4 yr old."

"The collar worked great --- then on the second set of batteries the light no longer worked on the collar, and then the on/off button didn't work. On the third set of batteries the unit didn't work at all. I have not contacted the manufacturer so don't know if they stand behind the product. When it worked (the first 2 weeks I had it) it was fantastic. On the second set of batteries where I couldn't turn it off I wasn't as pleased. I don't have my pug wear it all the time and it was frustrating to know I was just running the batteries down. When I couldn't get it to work on the third set I got really irritated. I haven't decided yet if I will try a second one or go on to a different brand."
