Buy the Large-Don't Waste Your $ on the Smaller

"Just buy the largest one from the get go - the smaller ones don't have the force or surface area for the recommended tank size (wall thickness). Still have to get in there once in a while with a scraper to get the rounded corners and down along the gravel line. Be careful not to go round the corners with snails on the "glass" - if you happen to trap one under the cleaner, it will gouge your acrylic (trust me). It's the newborn snails that will get you - the big ones you can see and avoid. And don't go too near the gravel line - I use natural gravel and there can be fine particles that are slightly magnetic, which will get under the cleaner and also scratch the acrylic."

"I bought one of these which specifically stated it was for an acrylic tank after having great success with a the digital one on glass tank - NOT THE SAME. On the first use it put a nice big vertical scratch right the middle of my brand new 65 gallon tank! I was not happy... Don't tempt fate with this piece of garbage."

every day. Its great it floats too if it didnt it would hit the sand
then you would have to stick your hand in the tank and clean the sand
off of it all the time."

"this mag-float kinda deal works awesome. whenever friends come over they want to scrub my tank with it and i'm totally cool with that : ) also it works, it's not just some pretty thing chilling there. it actually works. not as good as a regular algae spong but it works, takes a lil though..."

"I have 5 of these and only have 3 tanks running. The Mag Floats are better than the generic ones that do not float. Spend the extra money and get the bigger mag float. It will remove green dot algae and you don't have to get your hands in the tank. If anyone thinks that one swipe will do the trick think again. Its 100 times better than sticking your arm in a 75 gallon reef tank and trying to use some elbow grease."

"I have purchased several of these thinking they just needed replacement. Bottom line is that they don't clean well. I have to go over glass several times and some stains (green and brown) are very, very difficult to come off and I end up using an algae pad getting my hands wet, scrubbing the area. Not what I would have expected in a product that is more expensive than other brands. Forget this one."

"the mag-float is a great idea for those who do not wish to get wet but still need to clean the inside of their fish tank. it allows you to just drop in the scrubing half into the water and with the magnet half attacth the two halves together through the tank and proceed cleaning the inside of the tank without sticking your hand into the water. just becareful not to get any sand or rock in between the two halves because it may sratch the tank."

"These cleaners are SO handy. I have a 50 gallon glass tank that would be horrible to clean without it. Makes it a quick, and easy chore. To get around corners you dont even need to get wet, just slide it up to the edge, and pop it around, the magnets will suck back together. If you have a large tank, and esp if you have a deep one, get this."
