"I have used this carrier for four years now. I have an Amazon Parrot. I carry it like a purse. My bird "Bentley" travels very nicely and securly inside. I placed a perch suitable for his size inside the carrier. Because of this carrier "Bentley" has traveled on the back of a Harley, he has visited many restaurants and offered food through the holes. He has been to many festivals, gone kayaking, grocery shopping, and visited many resorts, the travel options are limitless. I place a newspaper and/or paper towel at the botom, I take him out to offer water. He also sits on top and uses the handle as a perch. It is very easy to clean. I highly recommend this product. You will get alot of "That is soo cool" from people. They are shocked to see a bird and not a dog. Your bird will love getting out and enjoying the outdoors. Mine carrier has been so worn that I am replacing it with a new one. When I first placed him inside the carrier, he didn't like it. But, after a while, he learned that it meant he was going someplace fun! So, don't give up if at first your bird resists being placed inside. I do recommend watching for any sun coming through the top and be aware of your birds tempeture comfort. Sometimes, I place a sun shield (cut to fit)over the top. I take him out of the carrier whenever I feel it is safe. His wings are clipped, but he never wants to fly away anyway. Many people have asked me where they can get one of these. Happy Travels!"
