"I have used this carrier for four years now. I have an Amazon Parrot. I carry it like a purse. My bird "Bentley" travels very nicely and securly inside. I placed a perch suitable for his size inside the carrier. Because of this carrier "Bentley" has traveled on the back of a Harley, he has visited many restaurants and offered food through the holes. He has been to many festivals, gone kayaking, grocery shopping, and visited many resorts, the travel options are limitless. I place a newspaper and/or paper towel at the botom, I take him out to offer water. He also sits on top and uses the handle as a perch. It is very easy to clean. I highly recommend this product. You will get alot of "That is soo cool" from people. They are shocked to see a bird and not a dog. Your bird will love getting out and enjoying the outdoors. Mine carrier has been so worn that I am replacing it with a new one. When I first placed him inside the carrier, he didn't like it. But, after a while, he learned that it meant he was going someplace fun! So, don't give up if at first your bird resists being placed inside. I do recommend watching for any sun coming through the top and be aware of your birds tempeture comfort. Sometimes, I place a sun shield (cut to fit)over the top. I take him out of the carrier whenever I feel it is safe. His wings are clipped, but he never wants to fly away anyway. Many people have asked me where they can get one of these. Happy Travels!"

"I wasn't sure what this item would be like when I ordered it online. When I received it , I was very pleased. I haven't had to use it yet to transport my new cockatiel, but I am confident it will work out very well. It is roomy and very sturdy. It has plenty of air holes and even has a perch inside for the bird to sit on! I would recommend this to any bird owner."

"This carrier is much bigger than I expected! I have a cockatiel and am getting a quaker this week and look forward to many outings with each! The carrier is very lightweight and very attractive. Great buy for the money!!"

"I first bought another travel cage that is metal. It's a good cage but it weighs 29 pounds! I saw this one and I thought I'd give it a try. I used it to pick up my bird from the breeder two hours away. The Quaker Parrot that it was used for was quite content and could see everything going on through the clear lid and I could check on him easily too. It was a snap to put the bird in and get him out and it's lightweight and nicer to clean than my other travel cage. You can't use this on an airplane, but for trips to the vet it's perfect!"

"I bought this for my birds. I have not used it for them yet. I am confident that it will be great for them. It is currently in use at the store with my ferret in quarantine due to some health issues that were beyone anyone's control. PETCO has been 150% wonderful as 2 of our ferrets have passed away in recent weeks and we are hoping for a wonderful recovery on the third.
This carrier has allowed us to visit and interact with our ferret without actually touching him so as not to possibly spread his infection.
This has brought great comfort to us and I will be purchasing a second one just for my birds now that I see how well this worked out for our ferret."

"I bought this carrier for my conure. He is ok in it but he climbs on the holes at the top and gets stuck. Because it is round he can not get down without my help. Also, because the whole top opens, it is a battle to get him in because he climbs on the edge really fast and I don't want to close it on him. So I can tell he doesn't really like it. So it depends on your patience."

"I just moved from Florida to Arizona which is a 4 day drive. I needed something smaller than my cockatiels normal cage for that long drive in a very full car! This worked perfect! She enjoyed being about to see what was going on in the car, and I liked that it has the airvents so she had fresh air, but that it wasn't drafty for her so she wouldn't get sick. I felt good knowing that she was save on the trip and will definitely use it again!"

"I bought the carrier for my large bird but instead my kitten is using it. I take her everywhere in it. Every time she uses it people ask where I got it. It is very easy to clean and use. I wish the shoulder strap was longer so I could put it across my shoulder instead of wear it like a purse."

"this been a good introductory materials that i ever seen very help ful and of great convinceience to my 5 parokket that when we got the chance to travel all my birds are so exciting and i would say so peaceful inside this carrier ..i definetely share this to all birds lover that they can enjoy bringing their pets in all the time that they wanted to coz this carrier is so much conveience for them,very spacy inside they could play around and you will see thier faces comforteable inside.

"I purchased this for my Quaker.... Gizmo loved it. I took him on a 3 1/2 hour trip and he was fine and loved it. It is big enough for him to move around and not touch the sides. I even put some toys in the bottom for him to play with. It is not too big and not too small but a perfect size for him. I also can put my cockatiel Nila in it and she is fine in it."

back and forth to our camper, my hubby and I decided on a smaller cage for the camper and this wonderful "bird taxi" as the perfect solution from home to camper and the bird loves it. It's a very stressfree way of traveling with 2 chihuahua's and the the VERY SPOILED LOVEABLE CAIQUE.

Five Claws Up! Avian Select Bird Carrier

"I went through several bird carriers, all had made my bird miserable until I spotted this one on the shelf at Petco. I knew when I saw it that this was "the one." My senegal parrot LOVES this carrier. There's plenty of space inside, plenty of air, and it's very comfortable. Also easy to clean. She can peek out through the plastic top to see what's going on outside. You can tell she doesn't feel cooped up inside at all. The only thing you have to be careful with is that you open the top all the way to put your bird in or take your bird out, as if you drop the lid on your bird...I don't even want to think about it. I put my hand over her head as I'm closing it so she won't get hurt. Other than that, it's well designed, light, bird proof, nice to look at. She's safe inside. The lid is rounded so she can't get a grip to bite at it. The look on my bird's face is priceless when I take this out because she knows she's going to be traveling somewhere, and in style too!
This carrier is not for approved for airlines, but for walks or car trips it's the BEST carrier you can find. I strap it in with a seat belt and me and my fancy chicken are off!"

"I bought this carrier about a year ago and I am very impressed with it. It is very sturdy and a cinch to clean. As an owner of 5 tiels, I can highly recommend this carrier for its ease of putting your bird in and removing them from it. I also like the fact that the visibility level for them from inside the carrier is subdued, thus creating much less stress on them. I have recommended this carrier to quite a few fellow bird owners. You really can't go wrong with this carrier."
