Poor Quality

"This product is nice but after using it for a few months the lamp part gets rusty and comes out of the base where the bulb screws in, and then the entire thing stops working. I tried unplugging and plugging back in and letting it sit with the switch off and it wont turn back on. I have had 3 of these lamps and they all have done the same thing after a few months. The lamp just falls apart and then just turns off and wont turn back on again. It is a PIECE and i wish they had better quality lamps out there."

"I bought the fluke clamp lamp for my lizards, for the first time. It is the most difficult clamp to put on the lamp. I went back to petco for help with the clamp, and the workers could not even put the clamp on the lamp."

"I have two Red Ear Sliders and they love it. It was hard to put together but once you look at the picture on the box you start figuring it out. My turtles love it. Considering of purchasing another one."

"Flukers Clamp light is a very good heat lamp. I use it for my 4 Red Ear Sliders and they love it very much.Although i did have a hard time making it,cuase it didn't come with insrtuctions."

"Even though we don't use the clamp part (clamp part wasn't sturdy enough), it still works great. The lamp itself is sturdy, has a nice long cord, and easy access on and off switch."

"I bought this lamp for my baby turtle. While the price was good and it works fine, I had some problems assembling it. There were no instructions or anything and I had to rely on the picture to try and put it together. In the end, my boyfriend had to step in and help me because I was getting very frustrated and he was afraid I would break it out of frustration * i tend to be a do-it-myself girl*. But...it does work fine. Like the title says, it's a decent starter lamp."

"Excellent Flukers Clamp Lamps as we use one for our Bearded Dragon and another one for our 2 Aqua Turtles. Clamps and stays on very well as we've been using these for about 5 years. Thankfully we've never seen them come off as the clamp is a very nice tight fit and keeps your animals warm with either a heating element or Flukers light bulb. Highly recommended!"

"This is not only a great product, but it is very cheap too! When I got my leopard gecko, I got this lamp, and I was only ten then (that was three years ago), and as a kid I did not have a lot of money. Oz and me love this light, and I use a 75 watt basking bulb in it. I would buy this for any reptile that needs heat."

"I have purchased 3 of these lamps over the past 18 months and they don't last. The first 2 fell apart shortly after purchasing them. The clamp comes apart too easily and is very difficult to put back together."

"I own 4 of these lamps for my different turtles, and I've also used them on my lizards in the past. These lamps are wonderful! They are very durable and have withstood being dropped many times on accident. They last an extremely long time -- I've owned them for years and still haven't had one go out on me yet. The clamp that is included is a big added bonus and they work great. Highly recommended for all reptiles!"
