"My dogs and I really enjoy their kennel mats. I have 3 labs and while I'm away from them, they seem to rest comfortably in their kennels thanks to these mats. They are very soft and my dogs enjoy laying on them as apposed to their metal kennel. I highly reccomend this product."

"This pad is soooooooo easy to clean if the dog has an accident. Zips open, remove cover, wash off, and dries overnight - and that was when it was hand washed. I have thrown so many dog pillows away because I felt I could not get them cleaned thoroughly. I really love this one and so does my dog."

"It wasn't that the product was so bad it was that my dog ate it right away. Didn't hold up. He chewed the zipper off and tore out the stuffing. I guess he didn't like it that much."

"We bought two of these mats, and our two seven-month old Dalmatians destroyed them the first night they slept on them! They shredded the material on the back, and separated the zippers within minutes. These zippers are way too lightweight and once they're pulled apart there is no way to put them back together again...they're "sewn in" and have no little end to put back into the sliding part. They need to be like the "heavy duty" zippers on sleeping bags instead of small lightweight zippers like they use in dressmaking. Sorry Petco, these mats LOOK nice and comfortable, but they are NOT durable!"

"These mats serve their purpose & are a good bargain! They're a perfect fit for the standard sized crates, but the pad is pretty thin (about 1" of foam and not very dense). If you need an "orthopedic" pad, you should probably keep looking."

"My Beagle destroyed this mat in one hour. I put him and this mat plus 6 of his toys in his kennel. When I came home one hour later the mat was completely destroyed. He didn't pull it open through the zipper, he shredded it through the top."

"The first week my two puppies, one a shepard mix the other a pit mix, loved sleeping on these mats. Then they discovered how easy it was to chew off the zippers and shred the insides. Overall, not a bad product-- if your dogs don't chew it to shreds"

"great for my baby dane's growing long legs - he loves to sleep on it. i cover it with his favorite sheet and blanket so he can't get to the zippers unless he really tries. left him alone with it, he was fine. i have seen him find the zipper and nip at it but i corrected him promptly and he's been okay. just the right amount of padding a delicate puppy needs!"

"My puppy loved this... so much so that he decided to destroy it within 2 weeks of having it. Keeping in mind that he was a 6 pound, 3 month old Westie, I admire his tenacity to attack his much bigger than him mat, but still it irks me that it was so easy for little him to destroy. He loved to sleep on it, but even more, he loved to chew it. The zipper is not heavy duty at all, he chewed the entire zipper off, pulled out the inside padding and starting tearing it apart. I would recommend this for older dogs who will only sleep on it, because I think any dog that liked to chew would easily destroy it."

"My puppy destroyed this bed extremely quickly. It looked very nice until she spent some time alone with it. She's not usually a destructive dog, and she also had plenty of toys to entertain her, so it must have been very easy for her to tear apart. I also think that it's not really all that great of a summer bed anyhow... way too hot.
If you have a dog that you trust will not chew, then it's probably okay, but even if your dog gets herself into just a little trouble every now and then, this is not the bed for you."

"This pad is good for winter and cool temperatures; too warm to hot weather. we have a mini poodle and we used it briefly during the winter as the temperatures were cool. As soon as it warmed up, we had to remove it as she would overheat. She also chewed on it a bit, what a fun chew toy! So we would only put it in her crate when she actually went to bed."
