I bought this for my parrot, and she'll chew on it a little bit but other than that she has nothing to do with it. Although if you put her on it and spin it, she has a blast!

This is an ideal item for bored parakeets. This is the second macro-ladder I have purchased from Petco. My birds climb and chew it with no worry of getting wound on their tiny feet. I had the previous macro-ladder in their cage for over a year and with two gnawing at it, that is a long time. For the price they can chew all they want without worrying about the cost of replacement.

I know this is made for birds, but I tried it out for my two rats. I must say they loved this ladder since they both love to climb and hang from things, the only thing I had a problem with is my oldest girl decided to chew through it and I had the rungs laying on one side of the cage and the rope on the other. lol But overall I could not complain I mean it was 2 bucks and they enjoyed it while it lasted. If they wouldn't chew it would be perfect. lol I would recommend this to anyone who has a bird or a rat just be warned the rats will chew it up. But hey spending 2 bucks is better then 10 on something that only lasts a few days.

My bird has a toy very simular to this. At first it took him a while to get used to it but then he started climbing on it! It's a very natural bird toy. he loves it!

My cockatiel truly enjoys swinging and climbing on this swing\ladder. He loves to push himself through the top wrung which is a bit snug. It keeps him very busy
