"The last time we brought one of our kitties to the vet, she had some issues with her teeth. The idea of brushing her teeth doesn't bother me, but SHE thinks it's a very bad idea! There's a reason why she doesn't have opposable thumbs, she's not meant to hold a toothbrush! We went to our local Petco and they recommended we try Scince Diet Oral V190Care. I was worried that our girls wouldn't like it as they can be rather finicky - well all my worries were for naught! They loved it.. immediately! Now they will only eat Science Diet! This is fine with us because we also give them the senior food which has helped maintain their weight & now they both have healthier teeth!"

"In the beginning, I was weary about Science Diet and its chicken by-product. So I slowly started my adopted cat on a premium, popular dry food. She ate less and less, and we realized we had to go back to what she was used to at the shelter -- Science Diet. We chose the Oral Care because she's had a history of gingivitis, and so far, she's been crunching her kibble, and at the last vet visit, there seemed to be less plaque. Yay! She's also nuts about this stuff...whining for more. Hopefully it's due to the flavor and not a lacking in nutrition. While there has been some negativity about the by-product, she's maintained a soft, healthy coat and an extremely healthy appetite. So I'm sticking with this."

"This is are cats favorite food. We have a 16 pound cat and since the pieces of food are bigger its easier for him to eat. He always gets exited when we bring home a bag of oral care science diet and he always tries to rip the bag open!"

"About a year ago my cat's breath started to smell funny, I took him to the vet and they had to cut his gums cause they were infected. The vet gave me a toothbrush but that was useless. Then he gave me this formula to try. First of all my cat loves this food, and second for almost a year I have been checking his teeth and gums periodically and they look healthy and don't smell. The only complaint I have is that my cat takes the balls out of his bowl and chows on them outside of his mat so it's always a mess around his food bowl, but who cares? As long as he is healthy and happy I don't mind cleaning around it."

"I purchased the Oral Care for my two cats after seeing a special on PBS about how Hill's came up with the size, shape, and texture of the food to simulate what cats might eat in the wild. The result, a larger piece that the tooth can sink into before the food shatters, thus cleaning off the teeth while your cat eats. My cats have had great results on the Oral Care. Their breath has totally improved (especially in my 7-year-old cat who has never had her teeth cleaned), the cats tend to eat less because it takes longer for them to chew each piece (which has resulted in some healthy weight loss), and the feline acne on my 3-year-old cat's chin has almost completely cleared up after switching from Purina Special Care Sensitive System. I highly recommend this product."

"I can't believe how much the cats like this food. When we started them out we were mixing like you are supposed to and they would pick out the Science Diet and ignore the old comparable brand food."

"This food truly works. All three of my cats are rescues and one had gross teeth and gums when he first came to us, but the vet said keep him on a steady diet for a year and see how things go. At his check/up, everything looked a lot better! The other one has stomatitis and this food allows us to keep him away from yearly dentals. Less stress on him and us!!"
