Caused painful bowel movements
Date: August 26, 2008
"Greyhounds are notorious for having bad teeth. I own two, and after paying $500 to have them sedated and have their teeth cleaned we decided to use Hill's Science Diet Oral Care Adult Dog Food. You have to give the dogs more of the food than other brands. The pieces are larger to encourage the chewing and scouring that cleans the teeth. Both dogs enjoyed the food. However one of the dogs started having painful bowel movements (she would yelp when pooping) which I attributed to the roughness of the food particles. So I switched her off of it, which was unfortunate since of the two, her teeth were worse.
So it rates a 5 for the one dog, and a 1 for the other and averages to 3.

"These are big pieces and I have a little dog, but it is the dry dog food he seems to like best"

Sparkling teeth!
Date: February 9, 2008
"My dog absolutely loves this food! You can give the oral care for a treat or as food. It really helps with bad breath and keeps the teeth pearly white by scrubbing up to the gum line cleaning all the plaque off."

Great product
Date: February 8, 2008
"I have been giving this product to my dog since she was 1 year-old. She is small, but she can eat the big pellets very well. Her teeth are not perfectly clean, because I admit I don't brush them, but I think they are well maintained with this food."
