"We bought this bark collar because our neighbor left a note on our door telling up that our dog was barking while we were at work and she couldn't stand it anymore.... So we went to Petco and bought the Deluxe Bark Collar. The first one we brought home didn't even turn on... We sent that one back and got a new one. We put it on our cocker spaniel today and he didn't even notice it! He would shake his neck and the collar would go off to the side... If the collar doesn't sit right on the vocal cords it doesn't work. I don't think that it was working every time he barked either. This collar really doesn't work!!! Don't waste your money!"

"I was very dissapointed in the product. I purchased this to keep my dog from barking when we would leave her on the balcony of our apts. I do have to say that it did train her in a week BUT it didnt work after that. A month later we bought an English Bulldog who would also bark so we pulled the 70 something dollar training aid out the drawer and the thing didnt work. We thought maybe the battery went out and bought repalcements (close to $10). Still nothing. Now we've spent close to $100 for a product that couldnt last over a month!"

"It won't stay in the neck area it always goes to the side. I have German Shepard and it is tight on his neck but after I put it on him he always has it on the side so I have to keep it on high for it to work 2 barks then it makes him stop."

"My wife and I got to the point of pulling our hair out to get our long hair German Shepard "Rhabbi" to stay quiet. There are MANY cats around our property and he would go outside and just run in circles barking the entire time he was out. I do have respect for my neighbors and ran out and got this collar. It took 3 HARD shocks that had him yelping and jumping around before he finally got the picture and since then if it is on his neck he is silent... This thing worked amazing and I HIGHLY suggest purchasing it if you cannot keep your pooch quiet!"

"We purchased this product because we wanted to train our puppy not to bark/whine in his crate. Every morning when the dog would hear us get up, he would start whimpering and barking. The first time the dog barked with the collar on, it did not work. The beep went off, but I don't think a shock was administered. I called customer service after multiple failed attempts with the collar. Customer service suggested it was not on the dog tight enough and not on the vocal cords. I readjusted the collar and finallly it did work. The dog stopped barking for a moment. With the next bark/whimper the collar failed to go off again. I would not recommend this collar. It did not work with my dog. It was definitely not consistant. Basically, it only administered one shock that my dog felt. I am now looking for a remote controlled shock collar. I just hate that I wasted my money."

"Polar is our Siberian Husky. She rarely barks, but howls VERY loudly when excited. We purchased this product hoping it would help with her wailing. It didn't detect even her loudest wails as a bark. More than likely, I'm the only person who failed to make this distinction, but if not, I hope this helps! :-D"

"I have two dogs, one Jack Russel/Whippet mix, and one Daschund mix. Both dogs bark at everything i.e. the door bell, someone knocking on the door, people passing by, other dogs passing by, people talking outside, etc. Their biggest problem is bicycles. I purchased two of the bark collars because we are currently living in Germany and it is a nosie violation to have barking dogs. My Jack Russel mix is especially bad about once he starts barking he can't stop. The Daschund mix is good at getting my other dog all riled up so he's the one that gets into trouble. The first day I put the collars on my dogs, the barking stopped. I practiced knocking on the door to get them to bark. They both barked once and never did it again. My only concern with this product is that my Daschund has figured out how to "trick" the collar. She grumbles or half barks once and waits for the collar to reset and then does it again. This really isn't even a problem since the continous barking has quit. I can definitely tell when the battery is dead on the collars because the barking starts up again. I would recommend buying an extra battery when you buy this product. This has definitely been a life saver. :)"

"Our dog was always barking. We were going to have nervous brakedowns but, then we went online and saw these great bark collars and we decided to buy one, even if they are over priced a bit. We hoping to find more great stuff at Petco, it's a great place to find things, so if you want great stuff for your pet, go to Petco."

"This bark collar is a *wonderful* product. We have a boxer/aussie shepherd, who is still a big puppy, and gets a little excited and barks a lot. Since we live in an apt, this can be a bad thing. The bark collar has been a God-send. We have much happier neighbors now!"

"I have a 7 year old chocolate lab, female. I have always had an issue with her barking at strangers when I walk her and if someone comes to the door. We are very happy with the bark collar, as the first time I placed it on her, she barked and received the correction. From then on she remembers and has stopped barking. I have been consistent at placing the collar on her whenever I let her outside or if I am taking her for a walk. Even when she lays by my patio door, and doesn't have the "good girl" collar on, she makes motion with her mouth as if to bark but stops and only huffs. Now it's much easier to be out and about with her. I do wish that the battery would have lasted longer, as I used it for two weeks and the light is blinking for low battery. Otherwise I would recommend this product, it made our lives so much more pleasant."

Worked well for our pug...

"We used this on our 5 month old male pug who was driving us all insane with constant barking while he was crated at night and during meal times. It took a few times until he figured it out (he got into a 'bark-correction-bark-correction' cycle the first couple of times wearing it.) but after a couple days, he stopped barking almost completely when he wore it. He still barks occasionally while wearing it and gets a static correction...but I would say the barking has been reduced about 90-95%, which we're quite peased with. This collar is a pretty extreme measure to take to eliminate barking, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a dog with a barking problem so severe they are considering getting rid of their pet. Our dog was a bit shaken the first 2 times he was corrected, but he is fine now and this product in no way tortutred him or 'broke his spirit'. It was truly a godsend for us!"

"I own 2 pitbulls, one is 65 pounds, another is 80 pounds.
I just moved to a HOA community and started receiving complaints from many neighbors that my dogs were barking non stop from the time i left my house until i came home that night.
I tried everything before resorting to the shock collar. Sprays, sonic sounds, and muzzles. I put this thing on them and it worked instantly.
They have been using the collar for about 2 weeks and my neighbors have not complained at all!!! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!"

"We have a 110lb American Bulldog who is pure muscle and thick headed (literally and figuratively!). We had a different collar that only had one level that didn't even phase him when it shocked. This collar was the only one that worked. It has different levels and even though he's got to have it on the highest, either way, it keeps him from barking. The battery just died after probably about 4 months of use and they're less than $10 to replace. I would recomend this collar to anyone with a problem barker. It worked for him!"

I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT YESTERDAY 2/27/08 TOOK IT HOME READ THE BOOKLET WATCHED THE DVD SO I'LL KNOW HOW TO USE IT. I SHAVED MY DOGS NECK JUST IN CASE TOO. I PUT IT ON HER EXACTLY WHERE I NEEDED TO, IT WAS A SNUG FIT I ONLY COULD PUT ONE FINGER BETWEEN THE COLLAR AND HER NECK. I HAD HER BARK ONCE AND IT WENT OFF AND SHE STOP BARKING FOR THE MOMENT. I WENT TO BED AND LEFTED IT ON HER OVER NIGHT, SHE BARKED ALL NIGHT LONG THE SHOCK DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO HER. I WOKE UP THIS MORING TO CHECK IF WAS STILL ON HER IN THE RIGHT SPOT AND IT WAS SO I TESTED THE BATTERY, IT WAS DEAD..... IN ONE NIGHT MY DOG KILLED THE BATTERY AND IT DID NOT STOP HER FROM BARKING.
