"This was a good price but I have two kittens and one can't stand to see things standing. If the base had been a bit more 'weighty' she could have played with it without tipping it the first minute so her brother could play with it too. I got the smaller one since they are small."

"Good way to attrack cat to the scratching post but post is a bit too short and and my cat tips it over all the time and drags it by the feathers. She does use it and likes the feathers but would recommend it to be a bit taller with a heaver base."

"I like this cat post because it is good for my cat's paws. This post is great for my cat to scratch and play with everyday. She especially likes the feathers to chew on and swat. My cat absolutely loves it !!!!"

"I bought this scratching post when my kitten was only 4 months old. At first she was intimated, but she still loved playing with the feathers. It is a light weight scratching post and she would frequently knock it down while playing with the feathers, but she found just as much enjoyment in knocking it down. She is now 10 months old and has discovered that her claws can do some damage. She took to scratching this post almost instantly and has stayed away from the furniture. It has certainly saved my couch many times in the past few months."

Does an ok job, invest in something with quality

"I bought this scratching post as it was not to expensive and not very big. I was better off buying a bigger more expensive scratching post. 50% of the time my cat will use this scratching post with cat nip on it. 50% of the time she will resort back to my couches as it gives her room to arch her back and scratch. However my cat likes to stretch and scratch this post does not allow her to do this, because of its height. She does not like the feathers whatsoever. The carpeting comes off easily. The first day my cat used this, i had carpet peaces all over the floor. My cat constantly knocks over the scratching post when playing on it. I am looking in to another post, something with more height and better quality."

"One cat likes the scratching post, the other won't touch it. The cat knocks it over almost every time and it's really too short to allow her to stretch. It sheds carpet bits constantly."

"The dangling feathers broke off the first or second day that my kitten played with this post, and little pieces of the carpet fall off all the time and can be eaten. Also, it's not very sturdy - my 3 pound kitten knocks it over all the time. I wouldn't buy this again."

Cheap and utilitarian

"I bought this because it was inexpensive and not too large (didn't want it to overwhelm the room), and because it's a neutral color. Accordingly, it is cheap -- the carpet fibers fall out and it wobbled and even fell over when used (until I filled the center with sand) -- but my cat likes it and it serves the purpose. He enjoys the feathers and it's nice that I can attach different toys to the fasteners (same kind that are used with fishing pole toys)."
