"The quality is good, the fit is good, and this will be perfect for what I intend to use this for.
My chocolate lab needs to be seen when we're walking in the woods, or in public. It's not confining at all and he won't get overheated while wearing it.
It also - will keep him from getting completely soaked when we are out in the elements, which is important.
I'm very pleased with the overall quality - and the easiness of getting it on him."

"My darling Lhasa Apso looks cute and absolutely ridiculous in this raincoat, but it is so practical for keeping her head, ears, and top coat dry! When I put it on her, she rolled around on the floor trying to get it off, but the velcro strap across her tummy held firm. Once we got into the pouring rain, she was fine. Because she hates getting wet, I think she appreciated being kept partially dry. Will boots be next. I doubt she would tolerate them, but who knows."

"I have been hunting around for a raincoat for my dachshund/Bassett for quite some time, and have come up empty handed...until I found the Dickens Closet Puddles online at Petco. The raincoat covers Murphys long body, and appears to be comfortable. The only thing I would change is the elastic which goes around the tail. I simply do not use that piece of elastic and it works just fine.
This is a great purchase at a reasonable price."

"This review is based on my experience with a previous well-worn raincoat possibly from the same manufacturer. The new coat is good but not great. The coat material is good but the plastic buckles look fragile (old coat had similar buckles but they never broke). I have no idea what the pocket on the back is for. If you put something in there it makes the coat top-heavy and it will slide off to the side. The new coat has a single rear belt that goes under the stomach. I prefer the old arrangement of two belts, one for each leg, making it much easier to put on and a bit more stable. They seem to have done a better job of reinforcing where the belts are sewn to the coat - this was a problem on the old coat. The hole for the leash to pass through is too low. It is on the back instead of behind the neck. You need to cut another hole or try putting the leash on the outside, over the raincoat hood. Bottom line - it is a good product for the price."

"This was very nicely made for a vinyl coat – heavy, quality material – I was surprised at the quality for under $10! I got a medium for my 35lb Greyhound mix & it fit just perfectly. The opening for the head is just right for my Pita & the single Velcro strap is long & nicely positioned. Best of all, the dog seems very comfortable in it & it stays on. There is a convenient slit at the nape of the neck for the leash to snap through to the collar. The hood is more cute than functional."

"This raincoat is really cute - but I would not reccomend it for smaller dogs. My mini schnauzer kept tripping over the chest cover when she was sniffing around for her "potty spot." Her back stayed nice & dry, but her little face & beard was soaking wet from tripping on that flap of extra material over the chest. It is a cute coat, with good coverage, but it's probably better for taller dogs."

"The raincoat works very well - we're able to get it on her and it stays on. The first two times she had it on she didn't want to move but she's getting the hang of it. Using this with the pawtectors really lessens the clean up time when we come it. The only thing with this product is it doesn't cover up the entire underside of the dog so if it's raining or she runs through puddles there's still some dry time involved."

"my little silky besion, is only 10 -12. She does have lots of hair, but gets cold quickly.
It was hard to determine the size online because there was no weight comparisons to size. So I got a medium and when I got it it was way to big. When I returned it for a small it was just right and covered her well. The only problem is you can't take the dog for a walk because the underside gets all wet so it's only good to go out for a few minutes."

"This doggie raincoat is GREAT!! It keeps my dog dry on rainy days.. It works very well. The only part of her body that is wet is her paws, which drys very easily. My dog enjoys staying dry in the rain. I recommend this jacket to anyone with a 15 pound dog!"

"the coat fit my american bulldog perfectly but when I went to put the straps underneath I realized that the velcro wasnt there so therefore there is no way to keep the raincoat centered on my dog."
