"I think this is a very useful item. I would only use on medium to large dogs. If you store food in it and need to get food out then you need to take the bowl of water outevery time you open it because sometimes it gets stuck when you lift the top off. It doesn't go gently back on either, so if you don't want water all over the floor take the dish out each time you open it. Other than that I love this item."

"I agree with the other reviewer about the watering feature. If your dog dribbles any food into her water, the watering side needs to be washed out periodically, which requires you to remove the food bowl and then lift the whole top section out. Using the 2 liter bottle sounds cool, but the water level has to stay high in order for it to work. I have never filled it that high because the dog would slop the water onto the floor. I gave up on the watering feature and now just use the 2nd metal bowl.
I ordered it because I liked the ability to store the food in the feeder itself. I didn't quite realize you had to lift the bowl section out to get the food, which is a little bit of a hassle. Still, it's much better than the big bag of food taking up room elsewhere in the kitchen.
Finally, it's worth pointing out that because the top section rests on the kibble, the height changes depending on how much food is being stored. It doesn't matter for my dog, but if you are considering this because your dog has shoulder problems, etc., then this fact might make a difference in your purchase."

Self watering feature needs to be refined

"I am disappointed with the self watering feature, which is the only reason I chose this product over other elevated feeders. You have to remove the bowl to use the self watering feature. That makes it very difficult to wash out the water side because of the bulky size of the unit. It's not very practical. Other than that, the product is good."

"This product will grow with you and your pet.
From puppy stage through to old age dog, this product does it all! It's easy to store and easy to use. Our dog spills less water on the floor because the watering dish is higher and for once, the cat's don't drink from his watering bowl because it is above the floor. Our dog is happier and healthier using this product. It's a win-win all around."

"I have large breed dogs who need a higher bowl and this was cheap, and is lifted up for my dogs, and I can fit quite a bit of food in the bottom of it. Theres two different settings, with the top facing one way it goes almost to the bottom for the medium sized dogs, or you can face it the other way for it to be at its tallest. we've had it for at least 5-6 years and it still looks like new and has lasted through nieces and nephews playing and sitting on it all the time :)"

"I have a 9 mo old German Shepherd. It is a good size for her. Much better than sitting on the floor. I like that it stores the food too. It is a little messy for the water and food go under the bowls, but no big deal just wipe it out. I love it. It is what I thought it would be ,and I will buy a second if we do get another dog!"

"I have a Doberman who is spoiled like crazy! I found that he seemed to have a problem drinking and eating so I went to the store to see what I could find.

"I have a 6 month German Shepherd (Meister) who is fascinated with water. Every time I would put water out in his stainless steel bowl he dipped his paw in it to tip it over. Well that was not fun having puddles in my house, and seeing his wet paw prints throughout the house. When I purchased the Adjustable feeder it was impossible for him to tip the water, which made life a lot easier and cleaner. The storage at the bottom is great too, so im very pleased with the product."

"I love this product! It's height is perfect for my dog Sadie. She doesn't have to bend down at all! The bowls are easy to clean and go right into the dishwasher with no problems. I had to stop using the storage bin for food, as I had a mouse in my house. It wasn't airtight, so the mouse was able to get into her food and chow down. We now use it for toys and other collars, etc. I highly recommend this and would absolutely buy it again."

"This was the best thing I could have purchased for my pet. It grew with him as he got taller and is a sturdy container. I purchased it for him before I even brought him home at 6 weeks! I believe he started using it at about 9 weeks or so and continues to do so at 34 weeks. I have a german shepherd and it is good for their posture to have a container that grows with them and allows them not to bend a great deal to feed."
