Makes a lot of bubbles, for the size. Nice for a spot with plants.

Bubbles are definitely NOT tiny...they are usually medium sized to large.
Adjusting air pressure will only create less or more bubbles...not make them smaller or larger.
I use sand in my aquarium and they are pretty difficult to keep anchored, and the clear tubing makes it even more difficult.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm using this airstone in my 5.5g tank for my african dwarf frogs. It works perfectly, and stays well anchored in the sand substrate. The frogs and my snail enjoy the bubbles.

well, you must have enough gravel to sink this thing in or it will not stay down! But aside from that, any issues with the bubble size and speed can be handled with one of those gang valve things. kinda looks like a mushroom in a way, so it works.

This airstone does not provide a "fine mist" of bubbles, they are average sized. The base makes it easy to anchor into the bedding, for secure placement.

Good for bigger tanks with more gravel

I first tried this product in my 6 gallon Eclipse. It wouldn't stay down in the gravel (it's meant to be embedded in the gravel). So, I thought it was junk and just threw it in the drawer. Well, then some time later, my bubble wand in my 30 gallon was past repair, and for a quick fix, I thought I'd toss this in until I got another. Surprisingly, it works great, and stays in the gravel fine. The difference was that I had a lot more gravel and planting substrate in my 30 gallon, maybe 2.5 inches. So, bottom line, works fine for deeper substrates, as it needs a fair amount of it to keep from floating up. Nice round area of bubbles about an inch in diameter.
I would recommend this to a friend!
