"I know it says chinchilla on it, which may deter gerbil owners, but gerbils absolutely love this. Make sure you buy the "sand" rather than the "dust" however becuase it is more coarse and will not interupt their breathing airways, yet still penetrates their fur. I put some down in their play pen like a little sand box. Their natural enviornonment is the desert, so they def. know what to do with it instictively. It leaves them so soft and fluffy! You'll love to watch they way the roll around in it too, adorable. P.S this stuff is all natural and non-toxic. :o)"

"this is the first sand i bought for my chinchilla. after buying it, i did research and found it's just not good enough. using sand instead of dust can irritate an animals eyes and isn't fine enough to properly penetrate a chinchilla's thick fur. i use kaytee dust now, though i hope to move up to blue cloud/sparkle soon."

"Whenever he see's me pull out his little bath house & his sand in the box he flips out & loooves to stay in it for as long as i*ll let him. He rolls & digs, he loves it! I love that its not messy."

"My chin loves this. I love it because it is virtually dust free yet still serves the bathing purpose. Helps with the mess factor alot. I also like the fact that it comes in pre-measured packets that I don't have to fuss with. I have found it reusable up to several times if I don't leave it in the cage for an extended time. I just offer bath time every day for 10 to 15 minutes and then remove the bath house till the next day. Might be pricey, but its worth it!"

"My chinchilla Tazz,was very happy with
this product.But I felt like I was getting ripped off. at this little pet shop in muskego,i could get it $2.00 cheaper and id get more sand.
