Safer than collar

"I hated 'dragging' my frisky puppy around by the neck collar on walks. Although this harness takes some getting used to - for the dog and the owner - it feels so much safer than the neck collar. Hard to keep puppy still long enough to get harness on and adjusted properly. Would like to see this harness with a quicker/easier on-and-off buckle so you don't have to loosen and tighten every time."

Be careful with sizing

"We got the small, which said it was for a small dog or any cat. It's too small for our cat, and the cat is tiny! It was also very difficult to put on; the instructions were confusing. But it is sturdy and well made, so if you're already used to putting a harness on your animal, I think this would be good. Just try to get the right size and save your receipt in case it doesn't fit."

"High Quality, well constructed, easily can slip onto my cat and off. My One complaint is that my cat's a chubster and it JUST fits around her tummy with a little breathing room. Not sure whose fault that is, though."

"Aspen harness is great for toy dogs or any dog under 10 pounds. My dog is only 3 pounds fully grown and this harness is great on her little body. She doesn't pull, and it fits her so comfortably. She loves it and I love taking her for walks in it."

"-I have a large cat and he is easy to get a collar on but these harnesss have these slide adjustments which I can't get used to using because of the thiness of the material and cheap adjustment construction
I have a harness now with a belt type closure and it is 200% easier to get on the cat than the above type of harness"

Great harness, perfect for my small kitten!

"I guess the manufacturer should have included directions, because it seems that other reviewers are having a difficult time figuring out how an H-harness works.
My only complaint is that there is no pinch clip on the part that goes around the animals neck. Basically, this means that you will always have to adjust the size of the neck hoop and make it bigger to comfortably put it on your pet (over his/her head.) Then you have to tighten it once it's on him/her. A bit of a pain. But otherwise, it's a nice little harness that works as intended.
The belly portion easily adjusts up to 13.5 inches. 14 inches might be a little snug. The smallest I can get the belly portion is about 9 inches. Same for the neck portion - 9 inches is the smallest it will go, 14 is the largest. Any reviewers who suggest otherwise are doing something wrong.
If you think you may have difficulty with this harness, I'd suggest a figure 8 style instead."

A little confused

"I am trying to train my kitten to use a leash. This harness is ok but I am having trouble adjusting it. I can't seem to make it big enough for my cats belly and she is a kitten! She is comfortable enough in it because she does not try to squirm out. I just don't know how to make it bigger so it isnt so tight. I like the color I picked out. My kitten is named Munch and she is all black so I picked a neon pink harness. Maybe I should get another harness. This one just isn't big enough. It says it adjusts to 16" but I can only get it to adjust to about 9". Can anyone help me figure out how to adjust it larger? I only recommend this to people with very very tiny animals. I attached a picture but it is kind of blurry."

"I have a four-month-old kitten that we adopted. He wants to go outside, and we're afraid to just let him out. A harness seemed perfect. I had it adjusted as small as physically possible. I put this harness on him and walked toward the door. Our kitten easily shrugged it out within 3 yards, I wasn't even able to exit the house!"

"This harnass says it fits up to a 16" chest. Actually 10" would be stretching it. It has to go over the cats head. Our cat freaked out so badly that she would not let us take it off. We had to cut it off to calm her down. I would not reccomend this harnass for any cat owner."

Good, but Smaller Size Needed

"We got our Maltese/Shih-Tzu at 9wks & she's now 13wks, but minature/ small harness is STILL TOO BIG. Ultimately, she'll grow into it, but it'd be great if it could adjust for smaller size dogs. This is best harness available. Overall, still better than coker coller."
