"I own a 1 year old male pit/yellow lab mix that weighs roughly 65lbs right now but still as a decent amount of weight to gain and filling out to do. I bought this harness for him when he was 4 months old. The first month or so walking him with it went pretty well for the most part, it gave me a lot more control over his strong chest and lower body. By the time he was 6 months though the harness did nothing to stop him from pulling especially when he would see a rabbit or people he wanted to run up to and sniff. If you own a dog that is a strong puller and walks with its nose to the ground this is not the right product for you. Whenever my dog got a smell or saw something he really wanted to go after the harness was of no help if he was truly determined all I could do was hold on tight and lean back with all my weight. The harness really did nothing he'd still be pulling so hard it looked like he was a sled dog basically climbing with all four legs on the ground. I would suggest only buying this product for a dog who is a little less of a hassle on walks and that you know with confidence isnt gonna try to drag you away if something catches his eye."
