"harness won't stay in the close fitting position and consistantly loosens which can our walks difficult if i haven't had time to tighten and readjust the harness. we're gonna get a new harness soon!"

"I own a 1 year old male pit/yellow lab mix that weighs roughly 65lbs right now but still as a decent amount of weight to gain and filling out to do. I bought this harness for him when he was 4 months old. The first month or so walking him with it went pretty well for the most part, it gave me a lot more control over his strong chest and lower body. By the time he was 6 months though the harness did nothing to stop him from pulling especially when he would see a rabbit or people he wanted to run up to and sniff. If you own a dog that is a strong puller and walks with its nose to the ground this is not the right product for you. Whenever my dog got a smell or saw something he really wanted to go after the harness was of no help if he was truly determined all I could do was hold on tight and lean back with all my weight. The harness really did nothing he'd still be pulling so hard it looked like he was a sled dog basically climbing with all four legs on the ground. I would suggest only buying this product for a dog who is a little less of a hassle on walks and that you know with confidence isnt gonna try to drag you away if something catches his eye."

"On the first harness I bought the plastic buckle broke after about one week. I exchanged it for the same thing, but they changed the design. The new harness has been going strong for about four months now."

"This is a great harness for socializing a puppy. I use the harness over standard collars because it does not restrict their neck. I just add a long retractable lead and let the puppy roam. Great for showing your puppy the world. built to last. I just bought 4 for my new puppies."

"I would recommend this product to a friend if I knew their dog would not chew it to shreds. Our dog Duncan had it on for an hour, just to get used to it, and he chewed himself right out of it. It's not really "tooth proof""

"Good quality yet be sure you get the proper size. As w/ all products, some items fit differently and the medium harness was a bit too large and the small was a bit too small. I guess she's in the "between" stage!"

"I love this harness, my 2 year old dog (pit bull/lab mix) was a puller, she pulled me up and down the street, choking herself and annoying me. At first i ordered the wrong size so it was too small and she didn't move comfortably. I traded it at the Petco store and got an x-large and it works great, she doesnt seem to mind either. I can keep it on her all the time without her even noticing it. and when going to the park or just down the street I have way more control over her and she knows it. we can even jog together without her almost pulling me on my face. =D"

"This Aspen dog harness is very well made and super easy to adjust compared to some of the other dog harnesses available.It's an excellent value for the price and will last a lifetime. Many Veterinarians recommend using a harness when walking your dog as it does not cause problems to the dog's trachea.This in itself is a very good reason to use one but if you have a dog breed that has trouble with a collapsing trachea, a harness is critical to their health and well-being."

"I have 8 dogs and this is the only way to safely leash walk them. The cheap "discount store" harnesses do not fit correctly, this one stays out of their arm-pits. I have control of their front legs / shoulders, not just the head / neck for walks and training. This also holds them in the car seat by adding a seatbelt attachment, and if anything happens it hill not harm the neck.
The one that was a chewer needed a 2-ply harness and I had to put banana oil on it to break him from chewing on it. I will not use a regular collar again."

"I own two of these harnesses for my 15 lb mixed-breed dog, and they last forever. I have had one for about a year and a half, and the other one for a few months and both have held up fine in rain, wind, snow, and hot temperatures. My dog has a sensitive trachea so this is perfect for him as it does not apply pressure to that sensitive area. It's so lightweight and comfortable that we just leave the harness on our dog all of the time when we travel. He doesn't seem to mind a bit. We take a lot of road trips and like to bring our dog with us, and the harness is great and easy to attach to a leash and we know he's not going to wriggle out of it and run away."
