Easy way to get your reptile healthy crickets
Date: August 31, 2009
"These are great. The only thing I don't like is that the package doesn't clearly state to refrigerate after opening the can, because my dragon won't eat too many crickets per day. They also smell a little strange, but overall it's much better than live crickets. My dragon was a little hesistant at first since he's used to live food, so I gave him a few superworms first, then a few crickets, then a few more worms, so he knows now that the crickets are part of his meal. He seems to really like them!"

Awesome Product!!!
Date: April 23, 2009
"I just bought a Leopard Gecko, and instead of live crickets I bought these. She LOVES these crickets. It has gotten to the point that when I crack open the can, she comes running toward it. This is by far the best non living food source out there. A+A+A+!!!"

No go for me
Date: January 11, 2009
"My Red Ear Slider just lets these drift around the tank. They are fresh as promised. They do not float. Hopefully its just my turtle being picky. He tried them the first few times. Now I can just toss the rest. Other reptiles/amphibians would love these I'm sure."

YUCK~ so NASTY! They look disgusting/smell BAD!
Date: April 19, 2008
"OMG, these are just soooo NASTY & so wrong! First of all they smell really bad once you open the can. Second they look pretty gross and freaks me out. Third, if you have a bearded dragon as we do most likely they won't eat it. We bought this for our beardie: Cricket and he wouldn't even touch these things so we had to throw them out. Give me the creeps just thinking about it! If you're looking for these for your dragon they usually like crickets and mealworms that move and not just nasty dead smelly YUCKY bugs in a can. EEeeewww!"

For those who want a lizard but HATE crickets
Date: February 5, 2008
"I HATE live crickets everytime I go to get them I feel bugs crawling all over me! I recently bought 2 adult bearded dragons and all they were ever fed was live crickets... so I started to train my beardies to eating out of a certin bowl in there cage, one for salad and one for worms and crickets... NOW whenever I put either dried worms or crickets in that bowl they run over and eat them up! I can't stand crickets so this works for me! I still every once in a while give them live worms and crickets tho!"

great product
Date: January 29, 2008
"This is such a great product because I don't have to run to the store every couple of days to get live crickets, and my turtle doesn’t even know the difference. Every time I go over to the tank with the can he swims right over looking for them. I get the small 200 count and he just loves them."

Awesome for Beardies
Date: December 18, 2007
"My Bearded Dragon was on pellets from when I purchased him. I started him on these crickets to give him some variety and the protien value to help him grow. He took to them right away and gobbles them up as soon as I get them to the cage.
I made a mistake and got the larger size and didn't use them for a while. I never opened them so they were still fresh. I decided to use them after all and just cut the big crickets into smaller pieces with some scissors. This worked out fine.
I always sprinkle mine with vitamins or calcium dust for additional traditional value.
He goes crazy for these crickets!!!"

Not for turtles
Date: October 16, 2007
"Althought RES turtles love crickets, these are not the ones for them. My RES ate one, took a bite out of one the second time I tried it, and never touched them again. They are good for other animals, but just not turtles.
A warning: keep them in the fridge!! Even there, howeverv, they start to smell something horrid after a few weeks so you better hope they are gone by then."

Wonderful product
Date: July 15, 2007
"My bearded dragon absolutely loves these and it spares me the upkeep/gross factor of live crickets. I highly recommend this for beardies, but only adults as these crickets are too large for babies."

Not bad
Date: November 16, 2006
"Great for bearded dragons and to use as bait for freshwater fishing.
This is also good because you can rip off the spiny legs before feeding to your pet.
Dont keep more than 2 weeks after opening though or it will smell bad and may grow mold.
Not good for amphibians because they need live prey."

Jiminy Crickets!
Date: August 26, 2006
"Alright! These large crickets are cooked so they are juicy, falvorfull and full of nutrients, unlike freezed-dried crickets whom lack taste and nutrients.
These crickets are great for many species of non-predatory reptiles such as Blue-tongued skinks, bearded dragons, armadillo lizards, plated lizards and turtles.
Not recommended for Predatory reptiles like frogs and gecko's because they only eat moving insects...
Place as many crickets in your pet's cage as they can eat, clean up any leftovers so your cage smells fresh.
I use this product for all my reptiles, and I wouldn't think to use anything else!!
Overall: Great cooked crickets that are great for reptile mum's who hate live food, and your pet will love them!!!

Canned Food?
Date: August 22, 2006
"The first night I got these I put five out for my leopard gecko, surprisingly only one was gone. First of all they are to big for baby leopard geckos, second they smell like fishing bait, and third by morning their to crunchy. Although you do get a lot of bang for your buck. I still suggest live food for your Leopard Gecko."

Zoo Med Can O' Crickets
Date: May 11, 2006
"Perhaps we purchased this product for the wrong animal, but our rough grass snake wanted nothing to do with these preserved crickets. It is my thinking that most snakes and other retiles/amphibians prefer to catch live food. The concept is great, much more convenient than making repeated trips to the pet store for live crickets, but they were never consumed. Sorry!"

Very practical food
Date: November 23, 2005
"I live in a dorm, so it's not always easy to get live crickets to feed my leopard gecko (Little A). I find that he really enjoys eating this, so I would highly recommend it. It's his main food source, actually, and he's a very healthy gecko!"
