"I own two CAE in my tank and I purchased this stone (the mini size, which is actually quite large) to create a place that they can hide in, play in, and to suck algae off of. This rock is very porous so it, with the proper lighting, will harbor a bunch of algae. When you first take this rock home, I do suggest rinsing it off (which should be done with any decoration) to remove the small chunks that have dislodged themselves off the stone. Don't worry, it doesn't seem to crumble apart as these chunks are basically Tufa dust."
