"I was a little worried that this would be too rough for the tetras and golden algae eaters in my smaller tank, but they really love it! The tetra's chase each other through the hole in the middle, and the goldens love to search through the crevases for food."

"I own two CAE in my tank and I purchased this stone (the mini size, which is actually quite large) to create a place that they can hide in, play in, and to suck algae off of. This rock is very porous so it, with the proper lighting, will harbor a bunch of algae. When you first take this rock home, I do suggest rinsing it off (which should be done with any decoration) to remove the small chunks that have dislodged themselves off the stone. Don't worry, it doesn't seem to crumble apart as these chunks are basically Tufa dust."

"I bought 3 pounds of this rock to put in my 55 gallon reef tank. It looked great but when my live rock spreaded coralline algae on it, it looked like one of the live rock! Coralline grows fast on this rock and the rock is very porous too! Great piece of cultured rock!!!"

Centerpiece - goldfish like it

"Bought 2 of these for my tanks (1 sml and 1 large). Our goldfish like it and will swim thru the opening occassionally. It is heavy and makes a nice centerpiece or contrast to plants in the tank. The only thing I see as a drawback is the lack of color and that pieces will flake off when handling it. Other than that I think it is a good buy. :)"
