"The all-in-one strips are a quick and easy way to check if anything is going wrong in your tank. However, sometimes it is difficult to read the colors accurately. But if you are just using them to make sure everything is going well in an established tank, I'd recommend them."

5 in 1 Easy to use and cheaper

"This is a much more economical way of testing your water than buying test strips for each substance. You dip it and read 30 & 60 seconds later.
You may also want to find test strips for Ammonia & Chlorine as the 5 in 1 don't test for these.
Also, if you are trying to micro-manage some of this, you'll want a more accurate and precise way of testing. Sometimes its hard to tell exactly which color a block is.
But for most people just trying to keep track of general where their aquarium is at, these are great."

Cheap Product for Rough Estimation

"I have the 5 in 1 and the ammonia dip strips for my salt water aquarium, and even though I've only used 4 of each, I am considering buying a new test kit. First, the pH scale jumps by .6 per color shade, and the shades are almost undifferentiated from each other. This makes it nearly worthless for saltwater, where precise pH is required. The ammonia test strips appear to have an ammonia reading while dry and fresh out of the bottle, so I don't trust them to give an accurate reading. The nitrite and nitrate pads are easy to read and appear to be accurate, but for other readings I would recommend a more precise and easier to read test."

"I do not trust the ammonia dip strips. The color is hard to read and always looks as if there is ammonia present. I tested the dip stips against a liquid test to confirm that there was not any ammonia present. The 5 in 1 or 6 in one strips are great for giving you a round about estimate on what your Nitrites and Nitrates are. The pH strip is not precise at all and is a waste. If you are concerned with pH get a better test kit."

Ammonia Test Strips

"This another great product it tells you your ammonia level in your aqurium in one minute. All you have to do is fill the vile tube put the test strip in and move it around in the tube for one minute. I use this product occansionally to make sure my goldfish don't die from ammonia. Ammonia is the number one killer of goldfish."
