Excellent Product
Date: August 27, 2009
"I bought 2 bags of this sand for my 20 gallon saltwater tank. I rinsed each bag seperately in a 5 gallon bucket and placed it straight into the tank. After filling the tank with water, the tank water was murky for about a day or two, but after letting it settle completely, I hooked up my filtration system, powerhead, and protein skimmer, and the water became clear within another day. The sand is pretty fine, but it weighs down with the water, so it doesn't really get blown around. The appearance of it is amazing, and is definately worth the buy."

Makes water cloudy
Date: May 1, 2009
"Depending on the size of tank you have and how fast your current is or the placement of your powerheads this stuff will stay in your water for weeks and make it cloudy.
I put just a fine layer over the front part of my tank and I have no powerheads near the bottom and even after rinsing this stuff my tank was cloudy for weeks, even after using polishing pads.
I finally had enough and took the sand out and put that live active sand in. Within 24 hours my tank was crystal clear no joke!
I think it would be a good product for more calm aquariums with not much movement.

good for low-flow aquariums
Date: September 26, 2008
"I got this sand a couple months ago, mand its been looking fabulously. It looks amazing when you put in the tank! It looks like your at the beach. But, there a couple drawbacks about this product. 1. It make you water reall really cloudy for a couple weeks, 2. I have a medium flow filter and it pushes all the sand away and uncovers the bottom of the tank! So i sugest you get a very very low-flow water aquariums."
