small pet eco-bedding
Date: March 2, 2006
"Best bedding I've ever used! It absorbes well, doesn't scatter all over the floor, is comfortable for my rats, and they love tunneling through it. It lasts a long time and is very economical. To make a great product perfect, it controls odor extremely well. I'll never buy another kind of bedding!"

I'll Never Go Back
Date: February 26, 2009
"I've tried a variety of other bedding products for my mice over the years. I even found one that I remained loyal to for a long time... And then I thought I'd give this one a try, mostly because it was on sale.
I love it! I will never go back. No other bedding I've used compares in terms of longevity, ease of use, and health for my mice.
It is lightweight, highly sanitary, absorbs odor well, is easy to change without making a mess, and really is DUST FREE! When you clean the cage, there's no powder residue-- or smaller shavings-- left over like from other brands.
For small animals with sensitive noses and respiratory systems this is a huge bonus! My mice never sneeze anymore or get the sniffles ever since I switched to this product. They also love to tunnel through it and nest with it.
All in all, this product is better for them and easier for me. Plus, it's a great price. Win!"

Animal is to Eco Bedding as Kid is to Leaf Pile
Date: January 24, 2009
"I've used this stuff for my own pets and small animals I took care of at a summer camp. It's relatively inexpensive, is environmentally friendly, gives me a lot for my money and... I've never seen happier animals.
That's right. Most animals with it: pile it up, hide in it, even jump in it from various heights."

Best Bedding!
Date: October 24, 2008
"I use this for my 3 gerbils and they LOVE it! It absorbs well. It has minimum smell and little to no dust. This is great for burrowing too. It is kind of expensive but in my opinion it's worth it."

Great subsitiute for fluff!
Date: October 20, 2008
"I adopted a black bear hamster with a deformed back leg that drags behind her. I use Care Fresh for her main bedding. I was looking for something to use in place of "fluff" for inside her igloo. Since she drags her foot, the fluff gets tangled around her.
Eco-Bedding was the perfect answer. She fluffs it up inside her igloo and has sweet dreams. :)

good for guinea pigs
Date: July 19, 2008
"I love this bedding because it doesn't compact down like most other beddings so my guinea pig can romp around and play in it. one word of advise though is to use a little less than you think you'll need as it expands and you don't want to lose your precious pets. It controls odor extremely well and keeps the cage fresh for quite a while. I definetly reccomend buying this bedding if you have not alreadt done so. My little guy's happy with it!"

Great for Gerbils
Date: March 31, 2008
"Well, this product does have an identity crisis. It says bedding, but the description says litter. Those are not interchangeable. Bedding is what they nest in, litter is for their potty. I keep rats, but I don't use this product for rats unless it is to put in their carrier to take them somewhere, although I use newspaper for that now. Now for gerbils, this is a perfect litter and bedding. Gerbils don't go the bathroom as often as rats. It is easy for them to burrow through. Gerbils don't require as frequent bedding changes so it isn't so expensive for them. I order this bedding by the case as both of my gerbils enjoy this. Also, if you go into an office supply store, you'll see something similar for a few dollars more...it's great shipping material if you want something like this to help keep breakables from breaking. The person on the other end can then use it for their pets."

Fun for bedding
Date: February 16, 2008
"This bedding is simply strips of folded up brown paper. I do not think it is very absorbent, Yesterdays news and cell-sorb can handle a lot more fluid. This bedding is great for piling up on other bedding for them to play and nap in."

Good With The Bad
Date: September 15, 2007
"I have 11 rats and 2 degus. One of my rats, Baby, almost died from pneumonia when he was very young. Thankfully he pulled through and is relatively healthy. His lungs were scarred by the pneumonia, so I had a really hard time finding a bedding product which didn't cause wheezing and difficulty breathing. I found Eco Fresh and decided to try the product. It works very well for Baby and all of my other boys love it as well. It's great for burrowing, which the rats and degus both love. The only problem I've noticed is how the product has zero absorption capability. A previous reviewer claimed this was the least expensive bedding available and only people who don't care for their pets will use it. I pay $6 a bag, and use 4-5 bags every time I clean cages. I have to clean the cages 2 times a week because of the smell of the cages. $60 a week is quite a bit for pet bedding, so I figured a way to use Eco Fresh while being able to stretch cage cleanings to once a week (without smelly rats or rat room.) I line each cage with an inch of Carefresh, then use Eco Fresh for the rest of the bedding. Baby is still able to handle the cage changes with no problem, and the rest of the boys are still able to burrow in the bedding. Overall this is an excellent product for animals with respiratory problems, but be prepared for frequent cage changes or to combine the Eco Fresh with another product."

Eco-bedding works for me
Date: May 21, 2007
"Eco-bedding has been the only bedding I can use in my ferrets cage. My one ferret has been allergic to all of the other beddings I tried. She would sneeze and not stop. Eco-bedding is dust free and can be used for other animals such as rabbits and hamsters. It's kind of expensive compared to other types of bedding but it's worth the expense if you have an animal is allergic to the other beddings."

Loved it 8 yrs ago and still love it today
Date: February 6, 2007
"I found this product about 8 yrs ago with my first rabbit and loved it. This stuff doesn't track all over the house,it expands giving you more cleanings for the money, and it doesn't leave that dusty residue everywhere. This yr when my four year old wanted a rabbit it was the first thing i went looking for. We used the woodhips that came with his house and it was a messy disaster. To make it worse we bought a lionhead rabbit and chips were always getting stuck and matted in his fur. I do use an ammonia absorber underneath to prevent any urine smell."

eco-bedding
Date: July 13, 2006
"This prouduct is extreamley worthless. Both of my hamsters are allergic to it, and it expanded to about twice its thickness!!! it fell through the bars of the cage and the litter went to the bottem so it very hard to clean. My pets ended smelling horable it took 2 baths to get rid of the smell. I would never recomend it to small animal owners who actually care about there pets!!!"

very little mess outside of cage.
Date: May 13, 2006
"My two bunnies are constantly hopping in and out of their cage and this litter never leaves a mess all over the house like wood shavings can. It dosen't have any oder and absorbs well. I have been using it for years and will never use anything else. It does expand though so put a lot less than you think you would need in the cage."

Worst bedding I've ever tried
Date: April 11, 2006
"Tried it with my small animals. I could only take it for one day. The bedding rose to the top while the animals and waste went to the bottom. The animals smelled from their own waste while the bedding remained clean. I ended up having to bath the animals. Eco-bedding was almost was worse than using nothing. At least newspaper would have absorbed some of the liquid."

Eco-Bedding Is The Best Bedding
Date: December 15, 2005
"Eco bedding is the least expensive, least amount of dust, safest, and easy to compost (and actually is very good for composting since a lot of times compost gets too much "green" stuff like vegetables and not enough "brown" stuff like hay and leaves). Its the best bedding. Cedar is poisonous (dont ever use it), aspen/ pine doesn't compost as quickly, and carefresh is expensive."
