We have a small pond with a waterfall in our backyard. Our previous pump would get clogged with leaves from surrounding trees. This pump is nice because it has a filter that is removable for easy cleaning to prevent clogging.

I would recommend this to a friend!

I had purchase 9.5, 5, and 3 models. They all work very well. They have very low noise level but do make a hum, They still work after 6 years. Clean them one time a year. Very good at not using electric lowest I seen that is why I got them. They are a real work horse. Other friends have problem but found that they where not cleaning it the right way the broke the impeller or let thing big in the inlet and broke them that way without a filter.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Pump is not reliable. In use for 3 months, and the impeller drive ears have sheared. This pump has always been noisy, this just tops off my bad experience with it. There are better pumps for the money.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
