"Well, I have had this for probably about a year. My cats love this to death....but over time it has curled up more and more so the actual space for them to scratch on has become smaller and smaller. I am actually debating on just nailing it to a wall. Other then the mat turning into a curlie-Q my 2 cats love it."

"I would recommend this product. My kittens like it. The only thing is that sometimes the ends curl up and you would have to put it where there is no traffic in the house so you don't trip on it."

"When I new that I was going to adopt 2 cats I read the reviews of everything that I thought the cats would like. These were highly recommended, and I agree. I purchased 2 of these mats; sprinkled them with the free CATNIP and the cats scratched and rolled all over them. Sometimes they just like to lay on them. I put one near the litterbox as they like to stretch and scratch when they come out of the box. The second one near their napping bed, as they like to scratch it when they get up."

"I optimistically bought three of these, thinking that they were cheap and a lot easier to distribute in a small apartment than the standing posts or other scratching items taking up more space. Alas, even with catnip embedded, all one kitty uses this for is to stand on it while scratching apart cardboard boxes awaiting the post office, my bed, and some favorite furniture. The other kitty likes the mat to sleep on; at least it’s useful for something."

Great for a dog-free home

"I got this rug because my cats' post had gotten to the point where they were literally pulling the sisal rope off and cat trees are not cheap! As soon as I got the package in the mail I put it on the floor and sprinkled some of the included catnip on it...they loved it-until the dog came to investigate. Once the dog smelled it, they won't have anything to do with it except to lay on it. I'm hoping that once I get the dog trained to stay away from it and apply more catnip, they will go back to having a scratching good time."

"My cats really like this rug and they've lessened their assault on my walls and furniture since it arrived. My only compaint is that it has started to curl up. It no longer sits flat, because of the cats pulling up on it while they scatch. The rug is so small that the weight of it isn't enough to flatten it back out."

"My cat likes the mats, but they aren't very useful to her because she can easily pull them up while trying to scratch. They are too small for her to sit on while vigorously scratching. So what I did was search online for bigger mats, and I did manage to find an 18"x24" one and a 24"x"36" one. Now everything is good."

"Our Kitty, Razzberry loves this sisal rug. She wasn't sure about it at first because she didn't have anything to scratch on at the shelter. She loves it now!! She never scratches on the couch. It is a good quality product and very inexpensive. I would definitely recommend it for anyone with cats."
