Great clippers for the money...

"First of all, let me remind everyone just as the package says- these clippers are for light duty use. These are not professional clippers, however I believe I achieved very good results with my two dogs that are westie/pomeranian mixes. One has pom hair and the other has westie hair, both were very long and were definitely in need of a clip. For my dog with the westie hair, it cut through it like a hot knife through butter. The one with pom hair is very thick and course, but it still cut through without any discomfort to my dog. The clippers did get very hot after about 20 minutes of use, so I unplugged them and let them cool down before resuming, once again, these are not professional grade clippers, so that is to be expected. After fully trimming the first dog, the clippers did need adjustment as the were chattering real bad. Adjustment is very easy with a standard screwdriver. Overall, I think this was a very good purchase, I trimmed both dogs for less than the price of one professional grooming. I had no problems with the guides bending as one review stated, and yes, they do clog occasionally, but I would just tap them out on the table, and it wasn't an issue. Overall, for the money these worked better than expected, just remember, if you or your dog start getting frustrated with the process, just stop and take a break."

"I bought this hoping it would work so I didn't have to take my dog to the groomer. The plastic guides bent out of shape the first time I used them and there is NO WAY to buy replacement ones that fit. It also didn't cut through my shih tzu's hair very well. The plastic guides as I said bent out of shape and clogged way too easily."

Clippers got extremely hot!

"I bought these clippers to clip the hair off of my Jack Russell's paws. Since he is a short haired dog, i have no need to take him to the groomers. These clippers cut pretty good, although i found that they tend to get clogged up and also need to be oiled alot so that they would cut better. After about 5 minuets of cutting the hair from just one of his paws, the clippers were very hot. I have to cut the clippers off for a little while and let them cool down before going to the next one."

"I recently purchase the andis adjustable blade clipper kit ,and it worked perfect on my Maltese. Tiana had her first puppy cut. there were no problem's cutting her hair. I only had to learn which guard to use for the length I wanted her hair to be. there will be no trip's to the groomer, only to the vet for her nail's. this product will be saving me money.

"When I got this product i was think ing it would be very easy to ue and it was although i had alittle trouble figuring out how to use the combs the right way on my poodle. Once I took the time and read the instruction booklet life was alot easier."

"I purchased these clippers for my Shih Tzu and my Cocker Spaniel and I love these clippers for in between their professional grooming sessions. I use these clippers for trimming up the face and feet and loose ends in the weeks they don't go to the groomers. I would definetly recommend these clippers for anyone who just wants to trim at home not for a professional groomer."

"I was really excited to get these for my dog (Border Collie) and was extremely disappointed when after 4 hours of trimming, her coat wasn't much shorter. I had a friend who used to do grooming at a kennel try to use them (in case I was doing something wrong) and she couldn't get them to work either. These clippers did not cut her coat. I will be returning them."

"My yellow lab has very thick hair around his neck and these clippers buzzed right through it. I bought them to just trim around his neck and legs however they worked so well I eventually trimmed his entire coat. The only issue I have had with them is sometimes I have to slide the on/off switch a few times before they will come on."

"I bought these clippers for my cockapoos. At first I had a hard time getting the clippers to cut their hair. Once I figures out that I was using the wrong size comb they cut right through their hair. It looked like I was sheering a sheep. They did a great job and has saved me thousands of dollars in grooming bills."

"I bought this so my babies didn't have to go to the groomers as much. The clippers did nothing. I tried adjusting the clipper with the power screw, this only made the clippers louder and made me and them nervous. I also tried to adjust the blades from course to fine and the clippers still would not work.
I blame myself. I should have bought something a little higher on the price scale."

"I have two Australian Sheperds whith a thick long coat and a mixture of fine and coarse hair. The clippers had to be run through the dog's coats several times and would not trim all of the hair. I tried adjusting the clipper with the power screw, This only made the clippers lowder and freaked the dogs out. "This product is awesome! I really recomend it! I thought at first that because of its low price..then it might be another one of those cheap clipper kits, but it really is not! I have a poodle, and i pay at least a thousand dollars for her a year to cut her hair, but now i only pay, well really nothing but the kit and thats it! And the cut comes up even, you dont have to ba a professional, this product can work miracles on any type of dog!"

"I bought this clipper set this past summer and I just love it. My dog really does not mind it either. He had really bad skin allergies and would bite/chew on himself constantly. So, I decided that I would cut his hair to help with the irritation. As soon as I used these clippers I noticed immediate results. His scratching and chewing ceased and he just acted like he felt better. These clippers are much cheaper than going to a groomer and they are really easy to use and clean. I would recommend them to anyone and they are reasonably priced on top of that. "
