"This product is not too bad for the money. It enables you to keep your cat hydrated for long periods of time. My main issue with this product is that it doesn't stay clean for the full amount of water it can hold. I usually only fill the bottle half way and by that point there are little bits of dirt and stray hairs in the water (I also think my cats like to dip their paws in it as the water bubbles down). All in all, it is a good product, but it needs to be changed more often than you might think"

"I purchased this product when we were having a friend dog sit for us while we were gone on vacation for a week. It worked GREAT!
The only minor problem is keeping the bowl clean when the bottle is full of water (I purchased the XL model) ... then I discovered later that my toddler was putting his toys in there! Well, no wonder it was dirty!
So, two thumbs up. It gives me great peace of mind to know on a hot day that my dogs will always have some fresh pure water to drink! (I use filtered water in it...our tap water is disgusting)"

"I absolutely love that I don't have to fill this water container up often. It was originally bought for two dogs, but they were terrified of it. It was given to me for my kitten, and she loves it. She often plays with the water and enjoys watching it bubble as it refills the dish portion. It also keeps the water from getting moldy, which gives me peace of mind and makes my job a little easier."

"My old water holder, opaque, developed inner patches of mold which I tried to clean using a variety of methods. Having failed at that, I checked out similar products online and found this little gem. I can truly see where its own 'no mold' promise is real. It reminds me of a light weight mini version of those bottle companies' office water cooler set ups. I give my cats fresh water daily, but like to keep additional water stored just in case. Learned that trick a while back when there was a building collapse (High rise/New York City) and nearby residents were banned for weeks from their apartments, having to leave their pets without food and water."

"My dog's food and bowls are upstairs because there is another dog in the household and we keep them separate while they eat. I love this waterer because I only have to fill it about once a week instead of filling a bowl two to three times a day and carrying it upstairs. Very convienient! The only thing that I would change is make it easier to clean or come with something that can fit through the hole to scrub it."

"I love this but I do reccommend that you don't get the size above medium because the large one is cumbersome to fill, and carry and the bowl gets dirty before the water is used up anyway. Stick with the medium size."

"I have three animals, two cats and a very active puppy who loves to chew on things, and all are indoor animals. For me, not knowing if my puppy would chew on a new waterer, i didn't want to spend a fortune on something expensive. This turned out to be the perfect waterer for our family. Both the cats and dog love it and it really keeps the water fresh. I find that i only have to refill it about once or twice a week and everyone has fresh water whenever they need it. No more checking and refilling the water bowl four times a day. I strongly reccommend this product to anyone looking for a great yet inexpensive waterer."

Well worth the money!

"I have had the 2.75 gallon waterer for a little over 8 months. I have 3 dogs who have a way of tearing anything up. Since we do not have a water spout in our back yard, this is one of the only ways we can assure ourselves that the dogs will have water on a hot day. I did find that algae would begin to grow in the unit, especially during the hot summer months. However, when I was changing out the water, I would spend about 5 extra minutes and rinse the unit with a bleach/water solution and it would rid the waterer of any unwanted "gunk". My bottle did finally crack, but I am definetly in the market for a new one. No product is perfect and they will all need to be cleaned once in a while, but for under $20, my dogs have stayed watered with minimal effort and that is what is important to me."

Not happy...Looking for another

"Water doesnt dispense when bowl is almost empty. My 3 smart cats figured out that they have to move the bowl around a little in order to get more water to "gurgle" out of the hole. When they do that, the water gets all over my floors and on top of it, its dirty from their paws. It never stays clean! I shouldve waited to buy a good quality waterer. Lesson learned"

"I bought this waterer at least 4 years ago for my two medium size dogs and it has worked out fine. Yes my water bottle also cracked but I just went to a discount store and bought a 3 gallon water jug and it has worked out fine.
A strong suggestion is not to use any sort of abrasive cleansers, to include salt, baking soda or vinegar because it pits the surface of the water bowl.
This is one of the best things to keep your pets well watered and has worked out great for my pets especially during the very hot Texas summers."

"My three cats and one dog were, at first, afraid of the "gurgling" sound, but have gotten used to it.
I really like the convience of filling it once or twice a week. I have only two things I would change:
1) A way to clean the inside of the bottle, maybe making it two pieces, one that will either unscrew or pop off like the bottom of hummingbird feeders. Right now, the inside of the bottle gets a dark coloration because I have so much iron in my water and I only have one brush that will fit through the opening. I have to bend it at angle to get to all the spots. So much easier and quicker if I could just pop off the widest neck part to clean with soap and water.
2) That replacement bottles could be purchased separately. Having to purchase a whole new system, when all you need is the bottle, stinks.
I would like to say I would buy the system from someone who is not pleased, just so I could get the bottle without having to buy the whole system. Is that possible?"

Love the Le Bistro Waterer

"Over the last 6 years I've had 3 of these for cats and one of the bigger ones for a dog. I've never had a bit of trouble with them - none have broken, none have leaked, none have cracked or scratched. The one I've got now is over a year old and looks like I just bought it. I've always had the blue ones.
I do find that if left for too long between cleanings, a bit of water-bowl slime will grow in the angle around the bottom of the bowl and around the little spout that lets the water through from beneath the reservoir keg, requiring some fingernail work when cleaning. However, with two cats who love to drink water, the bowl gets cleaned a minimum of once a week and the slimy-ness is kept to a minimum.
I'm not sure about the feeder; I've never used one before but may be getting one in the future. However, I'd DEFINITELY recommend the Le Bistro waterer for anybody with cats. Not having to bend over to pick up an empty water dish for filling every day is really, really nice."

"This product seemed to be ideal when we initially bought it for our kitten. He will not drink from it as much as he does his other water bowl. The water in the bowl does not seem appealing to my kitten, but it doesn't go away unless it's thrown away. It's difficult to throw away without having water go everywhere in the kitchen. Also, cleaning the bowl section is pretty difficult because of the water that floods the bowl from the reservoir section of the waterer. I do not use this any more, although I did use it for the first 3 months of having my kitten. We do use it when we are traveling for a long period of time. That's the only time that this waterer is beneficial and useful."
