"I bought this for my pomeranian after reading all of the reviews. I don't know if mine was broken or missing a part, but the water didn't stop once the front bowl was full. It just kept running over until the bottle was completely empty. I tried it several times with the same results."

"Dear fellow cat lovers,
This is a very good waterer! I bought this when I was fostering a litter of 3 week old kittens, and since then (September '08) I've used it about 18 more times! It has never, ever leaked, and I wash it about twice every week (when you have young kittens, it's always better to avoid bacteria than invite it into the bowl). All I can say is,

"I bought the 1 gallon (small dog) size for my puppy and 2 cats after the second time I came home from work to an empty water bowl. They can drink from the 1-gallon size for 4+ days before it runs out so I have been very happy!
The extra-small model doesn't hold the bottle in as securely, and seems top-heavy - it has been knocked over. Get a "small" or larger size."

"This waterer is handy until the bottle becomes brittle, then it easily cracks or chips and you're all done since it is impossible to find a replacement anywhere.
Also beware when inverting the bottle on the dish as the plastic "top" occasionally becomes detached and water goes everywhere."

"I bought the Le Bistro Waterer because I was having difficulty keeping up with my puppy's water needs and having difficulty getting my kitten to drink from regular bowls even with frequent water changes. The large reservoir keeps my dog happy and the frequently moving water attracts my kitty too. Problems solved!
I love this waterer because it's simple to fill and lasts my pets for at least a week. It's also super easy to keep clean (rinse with soapy water to remove any gross build up when you change the water)."

"I have two newfoundland puppies and have bought two of these bowls. The puppies broke the plastic water tank on both of the bowls. If the water tanks were made of thicker plastic or stainless steel this would be a great product."

"We currently have the 1-gallon, white Le Bistro waterer for our Beagle puppy. I knew I wanted to buy one for him because I used to have another when I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback. My favorite features of the product are the consistent flow of water into the bowl, the ease of refilling and replacing the bottle, and the simplicity of cleaning the base after removing the ring that holds the bottle in place. I haven't had any issues with mold growing, but I usually empty and clean out the base every few days to prevent that from happening."

"I bought this along with the matching gravity feeder, and I must say this product works much better than its counterpart.
I havent had any problems with it, it works, my cat isnt scared by the bubbling noise it makes sometimes...he actually gets really interested in it, and its a bit funny.

"I bought one of these 2 or 3 years ago for my little dogs. I've used it indoors and outdoors and it's still doing great! :) When I got my German Shepherd I bought a larger one which holds over 2 gallons since he drinks a lot of water. It's also been awesome. I keep the little one in the kitchen and the larger one in my bedroom. I'm going to be buying a 3rd one for outdoors since it's getting warmer and the dogs will be staying outside more! :)"

"I have purchased other waterers in the past and they worked great. This one is horrible!! There is no plug for the opening so putting the tank in the bowl is almost impossible.
Plus, and most importantly, the thing overflows.
Really, really horrible!! If I had kept my receipt, I would return this thing. I will write PetCo. They should not sell this product.
The feeding bowl is almost as bad."

"My cat Sparky loves water. Odd but true he likes to jump in the bathtub. I like this Petmate waterer. I have tried different bowls for my cat all of which he refused to drink out of. The water would get old and he would be thirsty all the time. Then I went to petco and saw this item and since I had tried everything else why not try this right? Bingo It made my cat happy and so was I seeing him drink out of it and enjoying it sooooo much. I would recommend this to everyone. It is easy to clean and to fill and your cat won't tip it over as easily. It provides your pet with constant fresh water all the time.

"This product is ok the only problem was when I bought it and took it home and set it up then my dog went to get a drink at first she was ok with the idea but then when it made a bubbling noise it scared her and she refused to go near it."
