"I recently bought this product, after trying a static training collar with small remote. While it worked well to begin the teaching of boundaries to my Siberian Husky, it still didn't allow me to let her out unless I was right there. Now I have this. With the training she had with her collar, and training her on the boundaries, she turned around when she heard the collar beep, and won't go out of the yard at all unless I'm with her. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat."

The BEST invisible fence available....

"The range is a 90' radius circle adjustable down to almost nothing. If you have a very big yard and want to give your dogs more room, that is the ONLY reason to not get this. Setup can't be easier. Plug it in, done. Adjust the range if necessary. Two very nice features with regard to the collars. First, the level of correction is adjustable, so your dog won't get too strong of a correction if it isn't needed.
Second, and this might be the most important, unlike the buried wire invisible fence whereby the collar only corrects when the dog is near the buried wire, this system adds a correction when your dog gets OUT OF RANGE of the transmitter. So your dog will continue to get the correction until it gets back into range. With the buried models the dog could run through the fence, get a quick correction but keep going and not ever get another correction until it gets close again. Your dog will absolutely NOT run off if the correction is persistent like with this product.
One minor complaint is the proprietary batteries that you have to get from the pet store, and the battery life. I seem to be getting about 3 months out of a battery, and you have to order them or get them from the pet store. It would have been nicer if they used regular coin cell batteries that you can get anywhere. Don't let that dissuade you though, this is an awesome product. Plus, you can take it with you. We take it and put it in our camper and adjust the range down to about 15-20 feet, then bring it home, plug it back in and adjust it back to 90 feet. You can't go wrong with this product."

"I purchased this about 5 months ago for a dog that we rescued and were told that she would not stay in a 6 foot fence. This product was so easy to set up, we just plugged it in under the kitchen sink, found the acceptable boundary and it was ready to go! Our dog learned the boundary in no time and when we had to make a few adjustments she knew that the beep meant that she had reached her limit.
Here's my problem: The perimeter is a circle but most yards are rectangles or ovals. We had to dial down our dog's boundary so she couldn't get into our neighbors' yards but this also made it so she couldn't reach the back of our backyard or very far in our front yard. This is the biggest problem that I see with this system. Still, no cables to bury and minimal setup time, so you really can't beat it."

"My dog has more freedom, trained quickly about 2 weeks total time. The first battery only lasted about 6 weeks, but the second battery lasted about 4 months and my last battery lasted almost 5 months. Batteries cost about 10 bucks for a 2 pack....not bad at all!

"This is the best purchase we've every made for our puppy. Initially I felt uncomfortable with the idea of a "shock collar," but the only time she ran out of her boundaries she let out a bark and came running back to the area that was safe. I would much rather her get a small shock than be hit by a car if she ran off.
Being able to switch from long-range to short range signals is easy and very easy and useful.We take this with us on our vacations and show her her new boundaries. All she needs to hear is the warning beep and she knows that she cannot go any farther.
I was worried that she would find this collar uncomfortable, but she doesn't object to it at all. After maybe 6 months of constant use, we now feel comfortable having our puppy outside without her collar - she respects her boundaries and loves the freedom of being able to run around our house. Having her being locked up inside or in a crate all day would be absolutely terrible. Thank goodness for this product which allows her the freedom and exercise she needs!"

"I do not own the home I live in; I'm young still and not ready to make that kind of step. Finding a place to rent that'll take dogs is a hassle let alone one with a fence. I purchased this product for my energy filled husky/shepherd mix and love it!! I can take it with me when I move or travel to see family and dont have to spend hundreds of dollars on an in-ground system I cant take with me. It gives my dog a chance to get outside and run without the leash as well to run off energy. PERFECT FOR RENTERS!!!"

"I would highly recommend this system to anyone with a dog that needs backyard training to stay safe within set boundries. My house is exposed to two intersecting streets, corner lot, and I have no physical fence, only a partial landscaped barrier to roads. The instructions said initially to set it on a level 2 and test the dog's immunity to hearing the beeping and responding. I have a 14 week puppy and he did not respond initially to the beeps and had to elevate to a level 4. He tested the system twice and felt the slight shocks and quickly got back into the correct allowable zone. Now, all he has to hear the beeps and he goes nowhere close to going out of territory boundry set. A very effective system, especially with neighbor dogs passing by, children. cars, etc."

"Unbelievable!!! This fence is a life savor. I have 2 yellow labs, one aged 2 and one that is 8 months old. Our young lab has more energy than I can keep up with and would run around the entire neighborhood despite shock collars, yelling for her, and even run when we approached her to bring her home. We received the wireless fence, plugged it in, set up the flags, and programmed the collars. It took about an hour to do it all. The very first time out with the dogs was all they needed. We did what the instructions said and used treats and toys along with our children to get them to go over the boundary. They did go about twice on only setting 3. That did it! They returned to the safe zone immediately! We let them of the leash and they passed only once and ran back into the safe zone right away. This fence is a God send. I was VERY skeptical and actually didn't think it would work considering the hyper labs I have. I was wrong wrong wrong! Thank you for all the reviews that actually led me to buy this product. If anyone is hesitating, DON'T!! It is worth every penny!!!!!!"

"I purchased this product after my puppy was hit by a truck. After taking her to the vet and having to spend 360.00$ on her, I bought this hoping to stop this from ever happening to her again. The instructions were very easy to understand, and I had this up and going in just a few minutes. I then took my dog around the boundaries two times, and she now will not even go as far as the flags, that are there to remind her that she has gone far enough. I love this and wish I had know about it before she had to go through the pain of being hit by that truck. If you have a pet and don't have fencing this is absolutely the thing you need. "I bought the fence online and within a few days received it from petco. Setup time was very short, just plug it in, set the radius you want, and adjust the collars for your dog. I have two Boston Terriers and live in a campground. I was looking for the ability to let my dogs out to exercise, potty, and play without having to worry about them wondering off to anyone else camper (My Boston Chip loves to invite himself inside others campers). Both of my dogs picked up on it immediately and it took only a day, not two weeks as instructed in the manual, it took one zap each and now when ever they hear it beep they immediately take off into the other direction. They learned the boundary quickly, and now know exactly how far they can go and not get a warning beep. I would recommend this fence to anyone looking for a portable, or easy-to-setup way to contain their pets outside. I have had no problems with them escaping, and they don't try to run through the fence. I was afraid that all the metal of the camper would mess with the signal, but my pets have a perfect complete circle with no "holes" as I had read about in the reviews. There is really only two issues I have with the fence...The price, which I have already found worth it, but would been a lot happier with if cheaper, and the collars. The collars make both of my dogs neck itch, and my puppy finds the need to chew on the other dogs collar, the first night she managed to chew off his battery and mess the collar up pretty bad, so be aware of this factor. To fix it, I bought some spray to keep dogs from chewing on things, and sprayed it all over the collar, we've had no more incidents since then."

"I got this fence recently, unfortunately the transmitter that was sent to me was faulty so the system would not work. Luckily PetSafe was a great company to work with and I had a replacement within a matter of days sent to my house (which was no fault of PETCO). The system works pretty well, it covers my yard great but when we are inside it sometimes goes off even when it's within the boundry. A simple solution is to take it off when she is inside though. If you have the patience for the in ground fence it's a lot cheaper, but this is great and easy to use. Great price on here!"

"I have to admit I was leary of purchasing this product but the reviews I read convinced me. Boy am I glad they did! This is the easiest thing in the world to set up and works fantastic! We have a pit / jack russell mix who is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet but is SO stubborn. He absolutely refused to stay in our yard and would fight the leash like crazy. It took us 1 training session to teach him his new boundaries, he tested it twice over the first few days and decided he didn't like the surprise he got and has not done so again in the 4 months we've been using it. We can even let him out without the collar on now and he doesnt' go near the boundary line. He's been tested quite a few times buy a neighbors very brave cat and just ignores him now. I noticed a lot of people complaining about the battery life being very short but the battery in our collar just went dead yesterday (after 4 months of continous use) so I think that's pretty good. For anyone trying to decide whether or not to buy this product...I can not recommend it enough!"

"we purchased this a little over a year ago and have had to get 4 new collars total in the course of that time. we have 2 dogs so it is double the expense for failing collars.
when ever there is a clouds or rain, the collars malfunction. they will go off even when the dogs are in the house. there have been numerous occasions when we are woken up in the middle of the night by the dogs because the collars are going off for no reason.
another problem that we have is that the system doesnt work well on any kind of property that is not flat. there are areas that the dogs know that the radio fence doesn't protect and they can exit the yard at that point.
we are now looking into purchasing undergound fencing. this system is only good if you want to take your dogs with you to a friend or family members house."

"I live in an apartment so I was not able to get an electric fence that has wires buried and this looked like the best alternative. It is wonderful and my Brussels Griffon learned in just a few days when she has the collar on she can only go so far. The best part is I can take it with me when I visit my kids and I don't have to worry about her. Also I don't have to worry about a broken wire because THERE ARE NONE. Great idea!"

"We have had this system for almost 3 years now. It has been the best thing for our 65 lb hyper lab mix. He no longer accosts the neighbors. Our other neighbors bought the same system for their dog and now the 2 of them have 2 yards to run in. Also THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART in my opinion, You can take the collar off your dog, go to your friends house or go visit family, plug it in, put the collar back on and "poof" instant fence anywhere. "I purchased this system for my 70lb Boxer about a month ago. After 2 days and 3 zaps, with the collar set on 4 he hasnt been out of the yard until today. (Soooo I turned the correction level up to 5.) He no longer runs all over the neighborhood until HES ready to come back. Hes very wild and you know I think this has calmed him down a bit. Now I can go out to throw the Frisbee for him and instead of trying to get him to bring it back across 3 acres now I only have to chase him around a 1/2. I love this product. Wish I could get a 2nd transmitter at a better price since I bought the system though."
