"I reviewed alot of products to stop my schnauzer from endless barking including the bark collar which of course didn't work. I have an electronic fence so it confused her, and when she found out it did't buzz her she just kept barking. I decided to get this trainer to try and on the very first day it started to work and it has been a blessing. Now all we have to do is say quiet and she stops. I absolutely love it. Next I will try it on her jumping up on people which my husband started and has become a bad habit. I would recommend this to anyone who is at thier witts end."

"I have a maltese who excessively barks so I purchased this hoping it would work. It got his attention but stopped working after less than 1 week. Waste of money as far as I'm concerned."

"I read all the reviews, and still decided to give it a try. I have 2 Aussies, and one does alert barking at night only. His alert barking continues for too long. I didn't want a collar that completely stopped the barking. When he starts his barking, I tell him quiet, if he doesnt' stop, I hit the button. He immediately stops. I praise him for stopping, and he then comes to me for his reward. I wait a second after I say quiet before I hit the button to give him the opportunity to stop on his own without having to be corrected. I need him to learn "quiet".
However ... this Aussie is a gentle soul. He is not hard headed. I think that is why this works on him. I can see why it doesn't work on yappers, or work on dogs who are seriously barking. First, the dog has to hear the tone, and second, if your dog is so intent on getting at something, or protecting, it's too focused on it's prey and won't pay attention to the tone."

"This product WORKS! We have a Maltese who was constantly barking at our deaf American Bulldog. After only 3 evenings of using the ultrasonic remote with a firm "No" the barking has ceased. Now just a firm "No" stops our Maltese in her tracks. We wished we would have found this 2 years ago. Our household is now bark-free and peaceful. Thank you Petsafe."

"I have a stubborn large miniture poodle that barked at everything and wouldn't stop. I used this product three times and she no longer barks. Now I just show it to her and say"no bark!" I don't even have to use it. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't done it myself."

"I have a 6month pom-poo and wanted to get a jump start on training for barking and unwanted behavior. I had tried othe products on other pets with no luck. I didnt like the colars and wanted something i could remotely control This was just what i was looking for I am spending time in the home watching him and when he shows signs of unwanted behavior i hit he N button and he responds and stops the behavior I use the N button along with A NO and put my hand up also. SO FAR SO GOOD. Im hoping along with this product he will respond to NO and understand these commands. I have not used the P button yet I use Positiv behavior with praising him"

Great product but wont work for all dogs

"I bought this product because my puggle used to bark at everything, my little brothers and sisters couldnt even play around him without him barking like crazy. The first time we tried it he stoped dead in his tracks! All we have to do now when he missbehaves (which is almost never now)is show it to him and he stops. We then used it to train him to stay in the yard we just walked around our fence and beeped it eveytime he got to close. He is the best behaved dog i have ever had thanks to this product!!! But my boyfriend has 3 puggles and when we tried to use it on them it had almost no affect they barely moved their ears so i guess it just depends on the dog but i deffinately say give it a chance if it works it will change your life!!!"

"The neighbors had a dog that barked ferociously from the moment we'd walk out the door until were out of sight. Instead of training it, they bought another dog to "calm him down". The new dog learned fast and did the same- worse really- barked constantly at nothing at all. My mom gave this to me today after experiencing them herself last week. I walked out on my deck (about 70 feet from the dogs) and hit the button once. Instant quiet. The third time I went out, I didn't have to push the button at all. I've read that it hasn't worked as well for some dogs- believe me, its worth a try!"

"I had a puppy that loved to eat her and the dominate dogs excrement. I went crazy trying to stop her. I finally got this trainer, and every time she started, I zapped her with the N button and yelled her name. She stopped in her tracks and ran to me. It only took about three times and now every time she may attempt the eating again, I just yell her name and she stops in her tracks and runs to me.
I also use it to stop the two pit bulls in my neighbors yard from eating my new chain link fence to get to my dogs.
I can't get the tight screw out to change the battery though and am still trying."

"this didn't work well for us. we have a lab mix who can be absolutely crazy! i bought this to try & calm her down. Once she figured out where the sound was coming from she came over to me & started barking at it. It may work for some dogs - but not ours. Then again, I also bought a bark collar after this didn't work, and I had to return it. It had a "safety" device where if a dog barked more than 4 time in 1 minute it would reset itself & not go on for 3 minutes (i think?). Well, she figured out if she barked quickly it wouldn't work anymore, then she just kept right on barking!"

"The N button is inaudible to humans, but when I press it, my dog stops in her tracks! I bought it primarily for training when my dog is rushing the front door or jumping on guests. It also works when she starts to get rowdy and nippy.
The remote warns against using it in a multiple dog household (because the well-behaved dog might get the wrong idea and think they are being disciplined!) It also says not to hold the button down for longer than a certain amount of time. There are two buttons, N for negative and P for positive. the positive just sounds like a cell phone or digital camera keypay entry beep. My dog doesn't particularly like it the positive tone, but I do try to click it when she has calmed down. The remote works also within a certain range, like 20 ft I think it is?
The one annoying thing about the remote is that when you buy it you have to have a small screwdriver (like for eyeglasses) to open it up to put the batteries in. That was a pain in my behind to do because the screws were screwed in tight."

"I bought this product do stop my black lab from barking. Anyone who walked by the house she would bark at. So I tried it. My dog was in the backyard (we have a small back yard) barking at a man who was walking by. I pressed it and she just started running around the yard more, still barking. Maybe this will work on smaller dogs or puppies, I don't know. It just didn't work for us."

"I have two little dachshunds that bark and growl almost 24/7 and at everyone but me. I purchased the remote hoping it would relieve some of the headache, but no dice. When I used the negative sound, the dogs didnt even look around to see where it was coming from, just a little ear movement. The positive sound was the only sound they acknowleged, and that was just turning their head to see where it was coming from. It was just a complete waste of money."

Awful waste of money

"This product did nothing for my dog. The first time I used it, he just looked at me like, "Did you hear that?" He did not care at all about the tones. I am now purchasing another training collar that is more expensive, but I have now learned that you get what you pay for with things like these."

What a blessing

"This is as excellant easy to use training aid. One quick push of the button and my golden retreaver stops in his tracks. After only a few lessons he changed is behavior. I have recommended this to several friends. Just keep it out to the reach of children. Over corrention is a bad thing."
