"This product has been a life saver for me. My cat used to claw the furniture, shred hampers, baskets and even wood throughout the house. The sisal scratcher seems to take care of his scratching problem and I haven't had to worry since he first tried it out."

"I cant tell you how much my 3 cats love these things. I hang them near my furniture and they go after that than the furniture. I have tried other similar items, but they dont enjoy them as much. Definite must for the cat scratching family."

"My cat likes the bell, but that's about it. I set it up next to the couch he has been scratching and he completely ignores it. I've tried for 2 weeks to get him to use it with no results."

Good Idea, But Just Doesn't Work

"I have two big cats who love to scratch and when I saw this I thought it looked like a pretty good idea....wrong! I first hung it on my door and it was so long I had to tie it, then my cats tried using it and they got frustrated with it very fast because it would stay still! So we tried putting it on the floor but it still moved all over because they are so big. I'm thinking of mounting it to a piece of wood or something and then mounting the wood to the wall. I'm also going back for a real cat scratcher/condo for them next time I get paid!"

Good Scratcher When Attached to a Wall

"I use this scratching post to attach directly to the wall. Just drill a couple of holes near the top and attach using couple of screws and anchors.
The kitties love it!
Doesn't work well if attached to a door handle because it moves around too much. I don't know of any cat that would like that."

"I bought this product thinking that my cat would like the sisal and would love to stretch his claws as it hangs on the door. He has barely touched it. We have resorted to just leaving it on the ground, but even then he prefers the cardboard scratchers to this. I wouldn't bother spending money on this product when the cheaper cardboard version is more ideal for them."

"This is a great scratching post! Good quality! Flat profile allows it to sit or lay well & stable against other objects or door &/or to use as a mini stair in a cage!

It's Okay but...

"Its okay but my cat won’t use it when it’s on the door. I have to put it on the floor and even then it still moves around too much for her to get a good scratching out of it. Though she seems to like it enough, she still uses my couch and the carpet in my kitchen! I won’t buy this product again, in fact, on my next paycheck I’m going to buy a REAL scratching post!!!"

Quite the door BANGER, not hanger

"I bought this for my upstairs bedroom, since I didn't have room for the type of freestanding scratching posts my two cats love downstairs. Unfortunately, since it only hangs on the doorknob, it doesn't stay still when they try to scratch. The older cat ignored it after figuring this out, but the younger cat liked to go bat at it and thump it around on the door. At 3am. In my bedroom. Needless to say, this scratcher went in the TRASH."

"My cat loves it and leaves our furniture alone! We actually hook it around the legs of our furniture, so it won't move and lay it on the floor for our cat and he tears it up! He loves the catnip that comes with it, I think it initially helps him break in his new scratcher. We go through one in about 2 months, he uses it so much! It's well worth it though because it saves our furniture!"

"My cat loves this product although I had to put it on the floor. It bangs things and scares her when it's hanging. On the floor, she loves it. She goes to it first thing everytime she wakes up and scratches, and she sleeps or sits on it much of the day. It has become her "safe" space in my apartment. The only flaw I can see in it is that I've had it 8 months and she's beginning to unravel it. I am buying another, however, because she does love it."
