"I have these UTH on all my cages, snake and beardies alike! Thay are a bit pricey but most deffinalty worth it! The pad doesn't raise the power bill much and it also provides heat at night when I enjoy the house being a lil cooler than normal! The only complaint that I have is the 50-60 gallon one isn't really wide enough!"

"great heating pad. its never died out or cracked the glass for me. ive had it for over a year and still happy with it. so is my leopard gecko. she loves it. she spends most of her day sleeping where the heating pad is."

"I currently have 3 Zoo Med UTH connected to my reptile tanks. For both of my leopard gecko tanks and also for my cornsnake. They have been working wonderfully and the temperatures are fine. BUT you MUST connect them to a thermostat or rheostat in order to get a safe, constant temperature. It's vital that you make that additional investment otherwise your UTH could get dangerously hot. They are meant to be used with a thermostat!"

Hedgehog loved it, but cracked the glass

"I used a mini on the underside of 10-gal glass tank to give my hedgehog a warm spot to sleep. She'd burrow into her bedding to sleep directly on the glass over the heater, and apparently she thought the temp was just perfect. It was on 24/7, and worked consistently all three years I used it. Only concern was that it caused the glass to crack in four directions from the stuck-on pad; the tank had to be thrown away after the hedgehog passed on. I would be concerned about using this product on an expensive glass tank."

"I have had to move this heater three times and the adhesive back stayed intact on the heater (not on the tanks)! The heater is attached as well the third time as it did the first (excellent) and it still heats beautifully.

"I use the sand you can buy for the bottom for the gecko and I had to take almost all of the sand out of the tank since the heater couldnt get hot enough to heat up the sand. I wish it'd would get hotter."

"I've used this in both my geckos tanks for three years now and it works just as well as the day I bought it. The heating pads really warm the bottom of the tank up and my geckos can lay on the area above them without burning themselves. I highly recommend this product to anyone with reptiles."
