"The most useful and reliable of the undertank heaters that I have bought. It never seems to die, and the reptiles haven't ever been burned while basking. Provides a nice, even area of heat for the guys, and doesn't make their habitat cockeyed. "

"The plastic footings that come with this product are a joke. They slid out from under the aquarium in hours.
10 months into the use of the heater, and the sticky substance is unsticking from the bottom of the aquarium.
Has helped maintain heat in the substrate, but only a 2-3 degree difference from the cold side to the warm side."

"I bought this hoping it will raise the temperature of my hermit crab habitat (a 10 gallon glass tank). But it barely raise the temperature at all. I glue it on the side of the tank as it recommends. I have to get another heating resource for them or they might not make it. I would not recommend it to anyone."

"This is a good product; I use it for my ball python, Stewie. Plugged into a rheostat [good, cheaper alternative for a thermostat] it doesn't get too hot and I can easily adjust the amount of heat I want it to put out. Just be sure to keep in mind that when using plastic tubs to house your reptiles, it won't melt, but it can be warped; warping is bending.
Also, remember you don't have to use the adhesive on the pad to use it. I just used tape and attatched it to my python's tub. That way, it can be easily removed when I need to wash the tub. It doesn't put out much heat so keep in mind that, depending on your reptile, some kind of overhead heat may need to be provided. With a rheo/thermostat and a good digital thermometer, you can be sure that the heating pad will work great."

"These heat mats have adhesive and are easy to apply, which is a plus. However, there is no information about the temperature they reach, which is a potential problem. Also, they cannot be used if water will be added to the aquarium, because thermal shock may break the glass if cold water hits the glass when it is hot. Inadequate info for purchasing--you can only get this info by opening the product packaging."

"I wasn't sure how this would give heat but it sure does heat up the sand and the overall temp just fine. I put this on one side of my tank with a hide for my leopard gecko and it just loves sitting there and warming up its belly. It works especially well for me because my house tends to be cold and I want to make sure my gecko has a warm area to retreat to if it ever gets chilly."

"I have two of these heaters, and they are perfect. My leopard gecko and bearded dragon both love these heaters. They raise the inside cage temperature about 5-10 degrees. I would recommend this product to any reptile keeper."

"My iguana loves the pad heater...he loves to lay right on top of it (especially after eating!). The box says it raises the tank temp 5-10 degrees (for a 30-40 gal tank)...I have a 40 gal tank and it didn't raise the overall temp of the tank at all. That is the only real "discrepancy" I can find. I would recommend this product!"

"I got the smallest one and its only 3 time the size of my gecko for $17!! She loves it though. I put it under the tank and the newspaper AND its not touching the tank but it keeps it really warm but not too warm."
