The veterinary industry standard for the prevention and removal of hairballs for more than 25 years. Regular use coats the swallowed hair and allows it to easily pass through the cat's intestinal tract. Great tasting. Also use as a laxative for dogs.

Laxatone
Date: March 18, 2007
"Our long-haired cat had a severe hairball problem, which required us to take him to the emergency room. They told us that a hairball was lodged in his intestine and if it did not pass by morning, he'd have to have it surgically removed. We gave him a few does of Laxatone and it passed naturally. Now, he actually begs for it! He loves the taste and has never had a hairball again!"

Doesn't work for my cat
Date: January 21, 2008
"My long-haired cat coughs up furballs frequently during the spring and summer months. I tried this Laxatone product as well as other malt-remedy products and none have ever worked. The best solution I've found is the Furminator brush. Using that on a regular basis helps get the excess fur off and greatly reduces furballs."

Good stuff!
Date: June 14, 2007
"My cat Noliani spent the whole night moaning and cying because of a hairball that she couldn't cough up. It had gotton so bad that she was vomiting after everytime she ate. My husband I were so worried! Working in the nutrition field in a Hospital I'm aware of how dangerous an obstucted bowl can be. So last night I made sure she didn't eat anything and had plenty of water available, then this morning as soon as Petco opened I bought this product. I followed the instructions and placed a tiny amount on her nose to get her interested in it. However, that didin't work. I know she was hungry but I think she was spooked about eating because had been vomiting right after she would eat, the day before. So here is what you can do if you cat isn't interested in the product: Put the recommended dosage on a spoon then, wipe your finger in it putting as much on your finger as possible then open you cats mouth (as if giving medicine) and smear it on his/ her tounge. Then let your cat close his/her mouth and swallow it down. Don't worry if it gets on other parts of their face, your cat will clean it off. Our cat wasn't very happy about this but after about 4 smears she ate it all. Then forgave me a few min later :) One dose didn't work but after the second dose, I could hear bowel sounds and then she used her litterbox. Mission acomplished! My recomendation though is, if it dosen't work after a few doses take your cat to the doctor, If the obstuction is bad or perferates part of the bowel it could be deadly. Good luck!"

The Best
Date: May 9, 2006
"Tomlyn Laxatone Laxative is the best hairball remedy because it not only takes care of a hairball but helps eliminate in stool helping it to pass through the digestive track. My cat likes this better because it melts faster and is easier to swallow. Other remedies are thicker and melt slower making it more difficult for my cat to swallow. Some even cause my cat to hack it up and not take it through his system. Worth the money and you don't need to use as much unless your cat has a bad hairball. You pay more but it is a great product!"
