"I bought the medium lava rock($12.99 without any sales), and it came in three parts. I'm not sure if it's Petco's fault or because of the shippers fault...
It's pretty porous and grains of the rock come off if u scrape it lightly on something(like a table/desk). I'm guessing the rock was pretty weak and broke apart.
If you buy this in a store and bring it home yourself, I think it would look great though."

"I absolutely love these stones!!! They come in different sizes with either one or two holes. They give an aquarium a beautiful and natural look! My guppies and cories love these stones! Even with green algae growing on them, it doesn't take a way from them!!!!"

"The actual rocks look nothing like the picture, though it is a lava rock with a hole in it. The actual rocks received are those ugly, unnatural looking triangle slices of lava rock with a hole in the exact center that you can find anywhere. I thought I had finally found a nice rock tunnel/cave to put in my aquarium (after multiple days of intense searching), but I was horribly dissapointed. The only positive is they did ship it quickly."

Lava Rocks are GREAT!!!

"I have bought a few of these, and let me tell you, they are GREAT! I have a bunch of live plants in my aquarium and the lava rocks blend beautifully. I have never had a problem with lava rocks before. The only thing I might recommend is getting a good algae-eater because algae loves to grow on this rock. Over all, this is a great product and I would recommend it!!!"
