"It did't even last 24 hours. I installed in one night and by the time I got home from work next day my dog had knocked it off the door and had the support wire destroyed. It was bent beyond repair.
I was very disappointed. I really need a solution to dumped water etc for my dog and I thought this would be it, but it wasn't."

"This product is great. It holds plenty of water. Just make sure you follow the filling directions to avoid the leaks. It also needs a stronger way of attaching to the kennel if your dog has any anxiety and would dig or move around a lot. But with another piece of wire to hold it in place, it works great!"

"not enough threads on the bottle cap to secure a tight seal. I tried to fill several times and it either leaked through the spout or through the cap itself. Mounting mechanism is also cheap. So I am returning it."

"This particular bottle drips water constantly. The cap sometimes doesn't screw on well. I don't know if it is because the bottle is of a soft plastic, or if there is a problem with the seal. I've had two. They both leak."

"I bought these from my local PetCo store. I thought this would be a great idea since my dogs are penned up. It isn't. It is a well made product, but if you have a medium large to large dog, forget it. It just doesn't flow enough water to satisfy my boxer/rhodesian ridgeback mix. She understood it and licked it to get a drink....for over 10 minutes straight she licked it and the water level dropped very little. She just couldn't get enough. Our other dog, Black Lab/german shepherd mix still wont have anything to do with his. I will give them a few more days to keep trying it but will probably end up going back to a bowl."

"I really like the lixit bottles as there is no spilling all over the floor. Also, my dog doesn't gulp his water and then get the hiccups anymore! It drips occasionlly, but, not enough to be a problem."

"We bought this on a Monday and by Thursday night it had broken....

"This is a wonderful product! (I use the smaller, blue cap bottle) I use it for my dog's crate so she has access to water while we aren't at home. It is sturdy and easy to fill. It doesn't leak as long as you tighten the cap properly and is dishwasher safe."

"This is the biggest ripoff. It leaks continuously, and NEVER stops, no matter what the directions say. I don't want wet spots in my puppy's crate. That's why she is IN A CRATE to begin with!! Don't waste your money."

"I bought this for my puppy who is crated while I am at work. My puppy learned to use it right away. The bottle takes some time to create the suction that prevents leaking and if you do not use "room temperature" water it will leak until the temperature evens out. The bottle did leak during the day but my puppy licked it up quikly."

"I had to throw out the bottle. I had it in a kennel for my new puppy. The instructions say it will stop dripping when the water warms up. We had it on all day and it never stopped dripping. This is a terrible product."

"this was actually recommended through the pet store when i purchased my beagle. she's crate trained so she stays in there when i'm not at home or while sleeping. this bottle goes perfectly in my wire crate. she loves drinking out of it however it does tend to leak a bit. nothing much but there is usually a small puddle in the crate...maybe my dog is just a sloppy drinker. who knows? good product though and it's dishwasher safe so you keep it sanitized for your pet."
