"I really liked these boots once I figured out how to make them stay on. The velcro needs to be in front and I trimmed the excess off. Now the stay on great. Easy to clean as well."

"I am extremely happy and satisfied with this product. The Paw Tectors are easy to put on and do not seem to bother my dog in any way. The boots take seconds to place on her paws and saves me much time since I no longer have to wipe the mud off or dry her feet. They protect her paw pads from freezing or sticking to the ice in below freezing temperatures. I would definitely buy these boots again.
The only problem I have encountered is sometimes when she runs around in just a few short circles, the boots will fall off. I'm not certain how or if this could be corrected, but the benefits of the boots far outweigh the times that this has happened."

"These are hard and don't bend at all. They are not able to be adjusted properly, so they just fall off. They are like thick rubber and completely straight, no room for the foot to bend. I returned them."

"The product is very high quality material. I didn't rate it with 5 stars because the sizing chart provided at ordering page did not help me acquire the item in a size that fits. They ended up way too big for my dog and I had to return them. Prior to returning them, a friend found me a set of shearling boots that do fit so I didn't exchange this product for size, I returned it for refund. If they had fit, I suspect they would have offered excellent protection."

"I bought these booties to help my pup walk around the snow and ice since her paws always get so cold. She didn't enjoy having them on her feet but walked fine with them once they were on. Though the outside it waterproof, the fact that the opening doesn't seal tightly with the velcro, allows snow to get stuck and then melt inside. The coating is also quite tough which didn't allow her paws to bend properly. For the price I thought they would fit a lot better and stay on. I had to really tighten them (felt like I was cutting off circulation) and had lots of velcro hanging which I was tempted to cut. She was able to kick them off more than 1/2 the time she wore them. Quite dissapointed."

"I purchased the paw tectors today for use on my Golden Retriever. It claims on the package that it has an easy hook and loop closure(there is no such thing on the pair that I bought). The velcro does not stick, and the boots do not conform to the dogs feet. I will try to find another brand."

"Nice all weather boot for the dog. Great to see a product still made in North America. My only recommendation would be that the velcro on the boot itself were a little wider. Fairly easy to get on despite my siberian having other plans."

"This is an excellent product. We live in Chicago and the snow and ice is terrible. Jack, our lab, adjusted to the size large easily after a brief breaking in - in doors. The morning walk minus the boots was obviously painful for him with the ice and salt clumping in his paws. Bought the boots in the afternoon and with the first wear, he was running in the snow with no problems. Shoes stayed on. I am very pleased with this product and if Jack could talk I think he would say so too. And, he got a lot of attention from people on the sidewalk!"

"Paw"-Fect Booties

"I got these booties for my wonderful dog, Taffy a couple of weeks ago. You see, my dog is quite old, but still likes the winter snow. I had bought her a mini dog hat and a coat... but something seemed missing. Yes her paws seemed to be freezing from the cold. And from then, she hated to go out into the snow. I went to Petco to see if I could find anything for my poor pooch and found these wonderful boots! In time for a second snow, I placed the boots on Taffy's paws and she just did not want to come back inside after I let her out. I personally think that these boots are helpful and will be helpful for you pooch! Happy Holidays!"

"My Kelpie mix won't walk in the snow long so I thought to get her some boots. But with her petite feet the mediums were just too big for her and at least one would fall off. I was going to exchange them for the small but just want to get a refund to buy another brand. These boots are very stiff. I think the packaging needs a weight guide instead of just breeds. The package of boots I bought were dirty too as someone else had returned them. I wouldn't recommend these as the idea of dog boots is great but these just don't seem to work. Also I think petco needs more of a selection so consumers can make a better choice."

"I bought these for my Lhasa Apso to try to keep his paws clean when we go outside. Unfortunatly, these booties are too stiff for them to be comfortable for a little dog. They fit funny, they make him walk funny, they slide down so there is too much material sticking out past his toes. They simply are very poorly designed I would never have bought them if Petco had had any other options and now I wish I'd just bought a wash cloth to clean his paws."

"I think they work well - we've had a couple of times where one paw falls off - the first time she stepped on her own foot and then pulled her paw right out. The second time I actually think my husband stepped on it. As long as they're on tightly they shouldn't fall off unless they're stepped on."

"Our dog had these boots off in about 5 minutes after leaving petco. He simply would toss his feet backwards behind him and my husband wound up picking up boots along PCH. We turned right around and returned them. Would not recommend."

"impossible to keep on the dog. This dog has worn boots before and loved them. She hates these. Velcro up, velcro down, they come off and she resists having them put on, which was never a problem with prior boots. They look durable enough, but we've been unable to test that quality!"
