"The pet yard is durable and big enough. The only thing I wish it had is a gate to get into it.
It is light enough to lift up for my little dogs, but I'm not sure how someone would handleit if they had a large dog.
This is the only product that our dog hasn't chewed to bits."

Pet Yard Excellent for small dogs

"The review from the person in New York with the 10 week old German Shepherd puppy hit home with me because I was able to use my Pet Yard for my 9-10 week old German Shepherd puppy for only 9 days! After 9 days she climbed out and over the top. That was the end of the use of the pen. We did clamp a tarp over the top of it which made it usable for a little while longer until she got better acquainted with our adult dogs and was able to spend more time outside of her crate. However, I do think the Pet Yard is an excellent product and would recommend it for anyone who has a small dog or a small breed puppy. It gives the dog a bit more room for running around safely than just being in a crate. I would recommend this for someone who is introducing a puppy to a family with an established older dog. I knew I wouldn't be able to use it for long with my puppy - I simply misjudged how clever my puppy was and how quickly she would grow."

"We've used this as a (supervised) playpen-of-sorts for young foster kittens and young rabbits.
We were quite pleased with the pen.. until we found out we'd paid nearly twice as much for it as we had to.
This company markets the exact same model- for children- under a different name. The ONLY difference is the fact that there's a kid pictured on the box instead of a dog. And the fact that it's ridiculously cheaper.. or at least it was when we bought ours.
I wholeheartedly recommend this product.. however, before buying it, I also wholeheartedly recommend shopping around."

"I would not recommend this play pen because I just came home after leaving my 10 week old german shephard for 25 min. and found him outside the playpen, I put him back in to see how he did it and he just climbed right out!! It's overpriced I paid $100.00 and I've only had it for 2 weeks! I figured I could use it for a couple of weeks until he got bigger BUT obviously it is a waste of my money!! It would problably be good for small toy breed!"

Dogs can jump out

"I bought this for my new puppy and it worked great for the 1st month. Then my puppy was able to jump high enough to get her front paws over the top and kick herself over. I couldn't believe it but she did and she is little, 5 pounds and maybe 8/10 inches tall. I have to find something else now and hate the idea of crating her all day. I can't recommend it because if it is meant to contain a dog then it is not doing its job. I wish it was taller because I think a couple of more inches then my puppy wouldn't be able to jump over and I wish it had a gate part which could be opened up so the puppy can have access to her bed/food/puppy pads when they aren't being contained. The pieces aren't that easy to pop out and in."

Plastic Pet Yard - BAD IDEA

"We purchased the plastic pet yard when our Boxer had a litter of puppies. One of the panels cracked the first day it was used by adjusting the angle between panels. It was put away shortly thereafter. A year and a half later we needed it again for more Boxer puppies. Another 1 of the panels broke in the same manner as the first by adjusting the panel angle. We have since gone back to the steel type of pen."

"This is an answer to my carpets prayers. My puppy does very well in it and the space allows room for food, water, puppie pads, toys, blankets and a bed. She is in there all day and even when we are home she still wants to go in. The only thing I would change would be to add a door/gate that allows her to go in and out when she wants or close it off when I leave the house, also bending down to get her is difficult as she is so small, a gate would help. Unsnapping a section is a poor solution also."

Not just for your furry kids, but grandbabies too

"Well, this may sound funny, but as you moms or grandmas know, they just don't make playpens for babies like they used to. They are so small and make a baby feel confined. So, being I have my grandbaby at least three times a week and take her everywhere, I ordered this with two extra panels to make my little sweetie her own little playyard. Just put a nice thick blanket on the bottom, put in her toys, and now she has a safe, big and fun playyard of her own. You can attach toys on the sides and she is well protected. And it also serves as a little place that when I go camping, she can be in this also. Not to say, that I can purchase other panels and if need be, I can use it camping for my Rotty and my Lab instead of tieing them up. Just make it big enough and put some fake grass underneath them. Thank you so much."

"This thing is great, we use it to keep all 3 small dogs in when we are going to be out all day and dont want them getting into things. We also have snapped out two of the panels before to creat a small are for our dog while recovering from a leg injury. It worked very well to keep the other dogs out and made her much happier then being in a crate.
We recently got a baby goat that needed to stay close to the house and this worked perfect. I was able to move it thru the day to keep him in the shade. Amazing product worth every penny you spend."

"I got this for my new puppy for when she's home alone. It works perfectly well - she definitely can't get out of it or cause any trouble. It's too bad it isn't a little nicer looking or a little easier to use - opening and closing it is a hassle and my hands have gotten caught in the closure several times."

"Bought this recently for our 2 new chihuauha puppies...and just bought another one today for my mother who's getting her own puppy soon!
It's sturdy, very easy to set up and easily portable so that it can be used both inside and outside. I especially like the way it can be configured into different shapes (square, rectangle, pentagon). The main kit is quite roomy in itself, but by using the extensions or just putting two main kits together, you can create an incredibly HUGE play area. I'm very pleased with this product and definately recommend it to anyone needing an indoor/outdoor confined space for puppies."

"I bought this to try and keep the puppies inline. It worked wonderfully for several months. WHen the puppies had outgrown the yard. We cleaned it up and used it as a baby playpen for the outdoors! The twins Loved it. They were able to climb on it without getting hurt and it was sturdy enough that they could not tip it over or escape into the yard. Thank you Petco for making having a set of twin boys seem like a walk in the park. I have recommended this to several other parents of 6 month olds. Its an incredible investment!!! Who'd of ever thunk it?"

"i just bought this yesterday at the petco store. It was a lot more pricier than online but i guess thats because you get it right then and their. Other than that this is great i saw results instantly! way better than a crate, my puppy is much happier at night she sleeps better and lets me sleep better too because she is safe happy but not roaming free and getting into trouble. She is also having no accidents! while in the crate she will have several accidents at night even after she has already gone, but in the pen she isn't stressed out so no accidents! it is also big enough to fit a wee wee pad, toys, and a pillow. "
