Natural feel, look, and herps love it!

"I have two of these, one for my tarantula and one for my Leopard Geckos. The geckos use it to bask upon and to hide in (and when pushed against the glass you can observe them even while hiding) and my tarantula climbs all over it all the time, and has used it to help her molt. It looks natural, it feels natural, and my herps use it quite a bit. And when it becomes soiled or dirty you can just bake it and it's good as new."

"as soon as i put this in my bearded dragons cage, he darted straight for it. it looks very nice and gives your reptile a rougher surface to help shed and climb on. one of the best products i have ever bought"

"Very good item, it's real wood/bark, it's clean and can stay wet (partially) just fine.
I'm using this item as a bridge to my pond, so some of it is constantly submerged in the salt water, and there's no problems with that so far."

"I bought this for my leopard gecko. It was nice at first, but after the first few weeks it started to stink for the liquid wastes. After a month, my gecko hide on the other side of the aquarium. It is a total waste of money unless you plan to get rid of it after a week or two."

"I first bought this about 2 1/2 years ago for my female tarantula. She loved it, and used it up until she died. Then I put it in with my Anoles. They didn't like it so much. After I got my scorpion, I put it in his terrarium, and he loves it more than he loves his hollow teddy bear cactus! I definitely recommend this for any terrestrial critter!"

"My hermit crabs love to hide in these. They are cheap and great sizes. They tend to mold but you can get rid of the mold by baking it or putting it in the microwave."

"I bought this for my Royal Ball Python. He loves it. He gets on top which I think helps with the shedding since its rough. It looks great too. The price is a lil' too much but I think it's a great product (worth it)."

"I have two baby beardies, a few weeks old. Who seem to love this. They like to bask on it, haven't gone under though seem a bit scared. One of my beardies 'waved' for the first time on here, which makes it even better =D
I don't like that the bark comes off easy, and knowing babies they can choke on it. But that's probably known going into it.
Sometimes i tip it vertically so they can get closer to their basking light, this won't stop them from going on it. It's kinda neat to see them climb up it.
I think it adds a nice touch, plus it's cheap. Deff recommend this."

"I had hermit crabs and now I have a Leopard gecko and they both loved this item. It gave my crabs a nice place to hide at and feel secure and it also is great for my new leo as a place to rest. The outside is a nice quality and it's a little rough to give good grip for climbing and also for shedding leos who need something to rub the excess skin off on. I recommend this to anyone looking for a quality hide."

"I bought the large size for my box turtle and she loves to crawl under it and sleep. She even tries to climb over it which is very entertaining to watch. After seeing her enjoy this I bought another large for my 20inch long lizard and he curls inside with no problem! He loves to climb over it and chase his crickets.
Pet safe, and is pretty heat resisitant. Can be safe from a little water but too much will make it rot."

"We bought a Mac's Creatures & Critters Pet Refuge for our sons Leopard Gecko when we bought it for him at Petco. We've not had the Mac's Creatures & Critters Pet Refuge in Puppysnakes tank for a little over 7 years and he loves it. He goes under it to sleep at night, uses it to help loosen and remove his sking when he's shedding. He also likes to get on top of it after we put crickets in there so he can see where they are all hopping off too....hahaha. I can honestly say that the Mac's Creatures & Critters Pet Refuge has many more uses then you'll first realize and takes care of many things without having to buy multiple items. We're planning on buying a new Mac's Creatures & Critters Pet Refuge on my hubbys next payday but in a larger size so Puppysnake and stretch out without running out of leg room"
