"I received Lee's Kritter Keeper in exchange for another brand I had ordered. The dimensions are the same. The lip at the top was cracked on one corner, but the lid still fits and as long as I don't move it around too much, the plastic should hold up. I'm using it as a freshwater observation tank for 2 - 3 small fish that I bring home before introducing them to my main tank. The price was great. As a tank, it is quite roomy. I actually have a 50 watt heater sideways near the bottom plus two filters; a PennPlax Smallworld Filter and a Hagen Elite Mini Submersible Filter. I can easily add little plants based on the type the fish need. Right now, I have ground cover for the albino corys as you can see in the photo. The large container holds about three gallons of water. The way the lid fits on the clear container, there is no easy way of hanging attachments from the ledge, so suction cup attachments are necessary. A goose-neck lamp helps for lighting. It may not be the prettiest or the fanciest, but it does the job economically!"

Great cheap aquarium Date: February 28, 2009
"The large ones are great for housing bettas, if you don't mind a cheaper look. They are sturdy though, and the Penn Plax small world filter fits it well. I only wish they'd list the gallon capacities, and make a aquarium light attachment.

The medium might also make a good quarantine tank."

"I put my gerbils in this when we are going to a show and then I show them in it. Also, I keep my pet mouse in it and she loves it. I also use this when I am cleaning my african clawed frogs tank. The only thing is that my frogs can jump really easily so the lid has to be on tight!"

Perfect for lizards too! Date: April 4, 2008
"I don't know how good this is for small animals, but I know Oz, my leopard gecko, loves it. She licks the walls all over (which means she likes something). And she can relax and not spaz out. I really like this carrier because it is good quality, cheap, and nice looking."

Awesome!!! Date: February 3, 2008
"I had a Kritter Keeper for my Betta fish. It was great! She loved it. The only problem was that it doesn't really look like a fish tank. I moved her to a bigger tank after awhile."

Got It's Job Done Date: January 25, 2008
"I've had several sizes of these each holding its own purpose. My hamster lived in a big one of these for a month no problems. A smaller one helped transport both my hamster and beta fish for car rides where we had to pack away there cage/tank."

Great for travel, etc. Date: November 11, 2007
"I used this for my African Clawed Frogs when I was moving. It was much easier to use than a big tank while I was traveling, and it was easy to take into a motel for the night. When the frogs are in their big tank, I use it for storing their nets and other items. I've also used this container for fish. I've had it for years, and it's still in great shape."

Works well Date: June 26, 2007
"I have used these for hamsters and mice and they work great! You can use them to take your furry friend home in or you can connect them to another cage or each other with tubes as a cheap way to expand your pets space. They get a little scratched sometimes but not too bad. I have had mine for years and they are still in decent condition. I highly recommend these."
