"I have a great dane. We had tried a plastic version of these panel crates and she used her jaws of steel to bite through and shred them. So we got the tallest version of this 8 panel one and she loves it. She doesn't bite it and there are no shreds anywhere thankfully. She has room to lay down and to move around and play her toys. We are looking into getting another dane and so I will be buying at least one more of these.
I absolutely love these pens. The only thing I have noticed is that due to her size she has no problem scooting the cage around the floor. I attached it to something stable and we have had no problems after that. Would definitely reccommend this for any size of dog."

"Dissappointed that no directions came with...unsure if clips were to connect ends of panels. Slightly ligher weight than thought. But it will serve its purpose of holding 3 chihuahuas.

"We purchased the lower sized cage and used it to keep the dogs in a room by placing it in front of the two doors out. Then we moved to an apartment for the first time, not on the first floor, with a patio. Lucky for us this cage almost perfectly fits in front of the patio metal work which mean our two small dogs can't fall off the patio by accident (or jump off after a squirrel or something).
So I highly recommend it after over a year of owning one."

"my shih tzu learned to take 2 panels and made a "V" and climbed up and over it. I called the manuf. and there is a top for it but it's not sold at petco. You can only purchase from 1 store online but it's lots of $$$$'s."

"I purchased this pen for my pet house rabbits. It's great and gives them the extra space they need. It's 100% better than a small cramp cage. I just line the floor and provide them with a litter box and Timothy hay. I provide them with a water bowl but a water bottle can be hooked to the side. I know many of my friends use this pen too."

My puppy escaped!

"I bought the 30" pen for my puppy. I loved it and was excited that I could leave the house and not have to put him in his little crate all day. I had this pen 1 week before my 4 month old (13 pound) miniature schnauzer figured out how to escape by jumping over it. I brought it to the store and exchanged it (very easy process, they took it right back and I had no problems with the exchange) for the 36" pen. Little did I know that the first time I used this 36" pen, that my escape artist puppy would get out within 90 seconds. He climbed up the side and kind of tumbled over the top to get out. I wish PETCO had some sort of top covering for these. If my puppy wasn't able to escape, I'd be very pleased with this purchase however because it is not doing what I need it to do, I will probably be bringing this back to the store. Guess I'll be sticking with the crate for now."

"I bought this for a 6 month old shih tzu. I felt bad that he had to stay in a crate all day so I thought this would be a good alternative. It was at first until he learned to make a "V" with the panels and then crawled up it. If it had a top I would give it a "5". Overall though it's a good quality product and I love the gate feature."

"I purchased the 24" for my puppy. I wish that I would of got the next size. My puppy who is only 7 lbs at 10 weeks escaped one week after I got it. Someone told me that they make a wire top; but I couldn't find it on this site. I noticed that my puppy could climb the door. Make sure that you remove their collar to prevent the dog from strangling. I like the folding feature, as it's in the middle of my kitchen floor. You can partially fold it so you don't have to put it together everyday."

"so easy to assemble and connecting to the kennel kept me from getting up nights to let my toy poodle puppies out for potty time, now they just get up and go on their paper and get back in their bed while I sleep( no more accidents to clean) . I have a large house and this gives them a very safe place to be and they can still see everyone..I cant recommend this enough got the 30 inch because 24 was out of stock but with the gate feature it is fine . Just perfect!"

"The Pen arrived slightly damaged and with no instructions/paperwork of any kind. The door does not latch easily because there are three hooks that are suppose to go into 3 catch's but you can't line them up easily even with two hands. I get my puppy next week, so if he can't escape I will keep it just to avoid the hassle of returning it. You get what you pay for."

"My daughter and I recently got two Yorkie/Chihuahua puppies, I purchased two of these pens and they are a carpet/furniture saver. I can't wait until spring so I can set them up outside. They are well built and we love the gates on them. They are so easy to move and to set up, nothing at all like the old play pens. Thank you for offering them."

Great! But BEWARE....

"I bought two of these,,,the gold and the black ultimate style as the only way I CAN COMPARE is to try it. Since I signed up for 'bill me later',,,this worked well. Ok, so I just got a Boston Terrier pup and he is 11wks old. Had him for 2 wks now and soon as I set the play yard up (it was the 36" high one) he loved it and didnt mind. I left to do yard work, came back inside about 15 mins later and he was running around the house. I, for the life of me, could not figure out how this little rascal got out. So, after a couple of days, it seemed to be working or at least I thought so. By the 3rd day, he got out again and again. We finally were able to get a bird's eye view to watch him and what the little stinker did was put each foot into the slots and climb his way out. When he got to the top of the fence, he just simply jumped or fell to the ground (carpet). He didnt even care. So, we watched him do this 4 times before we decided to rush back to Petco Store and drop off BOTH play yards! Can you believe that?...a little Boston Terrier can escape from that! Well, we decided we liked the black coated play yard and it is IDENTICAL to the gold wire one, but the black one is sturdier, has a handle and seemed to fold better without all the 'clangy' noise and feeling going on. We just ordered the Black Ultimate Play Yard in the 48" high. I dont want to mess around. I have a 48" high door (babygate style)gate made for dogs and it works well, fits snug and is tall enough, HE CANT GET OUT...so, we figure a 48" play yard will last us a very long time! Plus we can take it to the beach and set it up when we are lounging and dont feel like chasing him and know he will not ESCAPE!"

"We purchased this cage to help keep our Alaskan Malamute puppies in. So far it has worked great and we love the fact it can be attached to a kennel. The door locks are hard to line up and cannot be done with one hand but, it's a great product anyway. We would definitly recommend product."

"We needed something to contain our mini schnauzer puppy. It worked great. Just enough room for a little one to be out and about. It's very easy to set up, move, and expand. Proved the last comment when we needed a second one to provide more room for puppy 1 and new puppy 2. Cannot say enough good things about this exercise pen. It is fantastic for the little ones."
