Doesn't fit
Date: July 17, 2008
"Even thought this bird bath looks really convenient, it is really hard to get it to fit on the cage doors. I tried it in mine and it was too small. My sister has a smaller cage and it didn't fit in hers either, the door opened the wrong way.
Just save your money and use a regular birdbath."

My Parakeets Didn't Like It
Date: May 8, 2008
"I don't think my birds liked this bird bath at all. It was full of feces every evening. I never saw them grooming themselves in it. I thought even if they didn't use it for grooming they would at least drink from it, making it a bigger watering cup. I was wrong and eventually had to take it out."

They really didn't like it
Date: May 3, 2008
"I thought this would be great! They won't even go near it, the only time they will is to get a quick drink. They seem to be scared to go into it. My budgies and keets won't go anywhere inside. I attempted to help them also and that didn't work!"

bad idea for my bird
Date: January 29, 2008
"My parakeet would not even think of going into this "contraption" as it seemed to appear to her. I was so anxious to see her in it because I've had other parakeets who loved their bathes. But she did not try it one time. I finally took it off the cage. It might work for other parakeets, I'm not sure, I'm just saying it was absolutely a "no go" for us. I don't feel too bad though because it didn't cost an exorbitant amount of money so I felt cheated."

Love this bath !!!!!
Date: January 23, 2008
"This bath is the most fun I have had with my finches. At first they didn't know what to make of it. I filled it with seed to start, so they would not be afraid of going inside. Then I switched to water. In no time they were bathing in it. They bathe several times a day alone and in groups. So much fun watching them playing in it. I tried other brands, but they would not fit on the door. This one has removable clips so you can work out a way to hitch it on the door. I have to fill the bath more than once a day, they use it so often. Easy to remove and wash to keep clean. I have an aunt who uses this bath as a seed dish for her cockatiels."

Oversized Waterdish
Date: October 12, 2007
"I do not know if it is just parakeets but I am owned by 8 of the little weirdo's and the only time they use this bath is as a drinking dish. They will stand on the opening of the bath, put one foot on the side bars of the open cage door and reach as far as they can in and drink. And then go not a foot further and bathe in their actual water dish. Mine came with no clips so we had to wire it into the cage, which of course makes for interesting cleaning. We have three cages attached together to make one large maze of cages, the center one being the flight cage and we had to snip one of the cage bars just to fit this into the door opening. I would not recommend this unless one, you have measured the doors on your cage and two, you actually believe/know your birds will use it. Or else you will turn out like me, putting their vitamins in the bath water and watching them attempt to bathe in the water cups."

For just our parakeets
Date: August 22, 2007
"I am the owner of several types of birds (conures, paroletts, cockatoo and parakeets). I bought this for our parakeets and although all my birds are hand tamed they will NOT use this. They will not go into it and I have a cage where the door swings out instead of sliding up although it fits none of the 4 want anything to do with it. So instead I just squirt them with room temp water from a water bottle. Years ago when I had finchs I had this exact same bath and they loved it, cant figure out why these parakeets dont."

Finches Love It
Date: May 21, 2007
"Took our finches a week to figure out how to use it. Maybe location in cage had something to do with it, so I moved it. They finally understood what it was and now they line up to take their baths.....all 8 of them. It's fun to watch them splashing and the see-thru plastic top keeps most of water from flying out. It's large enough for 2, sometimes 3 finches to jump in at same time and hilarious to watch them splash!"

Nice... but scared

Great But Bird Was Confused.
Date: December 1, 2006
"this product fits into most every cage and works very well, holds water well, and is very durrible. my olny problem was that my bird did not understand what it was for, he therefore went to the bathroom in the water most of the time but every now and then i would catch him taking baths. although there was not too much pet satisfaction i would totally reconmend it!"

Penn Plax Bird Bath with Universal Hangi
Date: December 14, 2005
"All little birdies love their baths. However, those mini little bathtubs you place on the floor are just plain awkward for them to bathe in. And the splashing...getting the bottom of the cage all wet is messy and unsanitary. This bath is easy to use....just clip it on the outside of the entrance door. There is no messy splashing to the surroundings, and it is just as enjoyable for the owner...who can watch the little fella or gal enjoying their bath. "
