"im not kidding i got this for my first hamster and that was a year ago. when i tryed to put it togetther one of the sudes wood pop off and wen i wnet 2 put it back on anoyther side pops off. its crazee hard 2 put together and if you set it on the table with out bein xtra super careful somethins gonna pop of! nio kiddin!!!!! it took me an hour 2 put it togther with the help off my mom & dad!"

Great Toy! For Dwarf Hamsters

"This was a great toy for my Siberian Dwarf hamster, Matthew. It took about 30 minutes to build a successful "playground" for my hamster. It was a little bit annoying but when I was done my hamster enjoyed crawling and eating seeds in there! I later stopped using it to build a "playground" so I made a 3-d square and used it to get my hamster out of his cage. This is a great toy for hamsters but not the best for the owner who has to put it together!"

"This is a great toy for my hamster but it is kind of hard to put together. but once you get the hang of it,it's not so hard. My hamster, Caption Hook Loves to climb in the tubes. it doesn't fit in his cage so i split it in half"

"Putting this together can be a bit hard to get the hang of, but once I figured it out I was able to make a great playground for my two roborovski hamsters. When I put a new wheel in their cage there wasn't room for the whole playground so I split it into three little houses and put two in their cage and one in my Campbell's dwarf hamster's cage. This toy has multiple uses and my pets love it...worth the money completely."

"My hamster loves these. She rather sleep in them then her igloo or other houses I have bought for her. I have actually bought 2 sets of these and made one extra big for her to play in and tear-up and another smaller one for her to store food in."

"I have kept hamsters for years and every one of them has loved this product. It takes a bit of patience to put it together, but it's worth it to see my pets climb on it, sleep in it, and store food in it. They really love it! I have never had any trouble with this product."

Fun for hamster, but hard to put together

"I got it from a friend whos hamster just died and it was pretty hard to put together..
After I finally got one piece snapped in, another one snapped out and it was very frustrating!
But after i DID put it together I put it in my cage. The first few days my hamster didnt notice it, but now its so cute what he does.
After he runs on his wheel he runs up a level to his food then down two levels and runs through the playground a few times and then back up to the wheel :)
Its so cute and he really enjoys this thing!"

"Ok my father bought this thing for my son's new hampster it took him little over an hour to give up it took me another two to get the thing together (it fell apart a couple of time rather it exploded). Finally got it together a week later when cleaning time came only took an hour. We have cleaned it twice and it totally lost all it's merits. The more you take it apart the harder it is to keep it together. We used it as a den because no where on the box dose it say in cage use only. This morning I went in to check on our little teddybear and she had a trap door haning from her den. Luckly we found her befor our cats did she was so scared she ran to me and her ball when she herd me. They need to pull this product or at least mark it better. It's a pain all the way around."

"I bought this for my daughter and I to put together for one of her hamsters. The colors appeal to children. The idea is cute, but it stops there.
It was very difficult to assemble, the pieces either did not properly fit together and/or when we tried to click them into place, the whole unit fell apart. The pieces do not hold together well.
We even tried to assemble by putting the pieces flat and raising them into shape.
It took well over an hour to get the unit assembled to the point where it could be moved into the cage.

The tubes did not fit easily into the holes - they have to be assembled first or the entire unit may fall apart when you try to insert the tubes. The tubes are also not compatible with other tube connections so putting them together with other Critter Trail tubes to expand the Puzzle Playground is difficult. They are a hair larger in diameter. Other Critter Trail tudes will fit into the Puzzle rings but the Puzzle ring tubes do not fit well into the regular Critter Trail tubes.
The design flaws need to be addressed for easier assembly. I dread having to take the unit apart for cleaning!
I will not be buying another one. There are other creative things we can do for our small pets."

"This was such a hard puzzle to pput together!!! Some people said it was fine,and okay to put together but i say no!no!no! i lost my two Robo hamster Chedders and Chesse because of this awful thing i did find them,but a week later!!! Thats all i have to say about that bad product!!!DO NOT BUY THIS YOU WILL REGET!!! :("

"I think this product was a little bit expensive. However, putting it together wasn't as bad as I thought. The hardest part was snapping the tubes with the square frames. Other than that, with a little bit of effort and patience, I enjoyed putting it together. Most importantly, my hamster really loves it :)"

"Today, I purchased this product and thought about how I should build it to fit my mousey. After long thinking, I started to assemble it. Yes, it takes time and lots of patience, but it was great. I love puzzles!!! I connected it to the little schoolbus, so while Snowflake gets a fresh, cleaned house, she can run about and have fun. Maybe it is not for anything bigger than a mouse or a dwarf hamster cuz the pieces are easily taken apart."

"as you have read in many other pet reviews, it is very hard to put together and may take a little while. After I got it assembled, my gerbils seemed to love it. They ran through it and always slept at the top. Fairly easy to clean."

"This was so fun to put together and my hamster loves it. Once you get the hang of how the peices snap together it goes pretty quickly. It took me about 45 minutes. As long as you have patience you will be able to build a great play center for your little pet. I would not recommend this puzzle for a child. It would only be appropriate for an adult due to the complexity of it. It is well worth the price and has a substantial size once completed."

"I bought this play set for my two mice. I found it a little expensive, but I figured it looked like fun and the mice would probably enjoy it. First of all, it was VERY hard to assemble. I got very frustrated and chipped a few fingernails in the process. Finally I got it all put together, but I am not interested in having to take it apart regularly to clean it, so I will probably only use it when I put my mice in their playpen (outside of their cage). However, once it is built, they really did enjoy it. They are used to smaller tubes and were nervous at first about climbing down inside them, but they got used to it and seemed to have fun. If you have a lot of patience and don't mind rebuilding this toy every time you need to clean it, only then would I recommend it. I won't buy any more add-ons for it. I prefer other brands made up of tubes connected with rings, just as fun and a lot less frustration involved."
