Great bulb
Date: September 19, 2009
"This is a great bulb, my RES Nessie loves to bask under it. It heats up very quickly and keeps the temperature just right. I've had no problems with breakage or blowing out. I bought it in May and it just blew out a couple days ago so I'm about to get another. 4 months for one bulb is pretty impressive in my book. This bulb gets Nessie's seal of approval. :)"

Only Use This Brand of Light
Date: September 16, 2009
"The lights for my tortoise are on about 10 hours a day. The bulbs last for many, many months and provide the right amount of heat and light. I have two 100 W bulbs in his enclosure and he is thriving. I've had him over 14 years and this is the only brand of lights I use."

basking light
Date: March 18, 2009
"I bought two 50 watt bulbs and the first one I used burned out after only 2 days of use. The previous bulb I had lasted for almost a year or more, and that was used between 12-14 hours a day!!"

Okay bulb
Date: February 10, 2008
"I bought these for a little while, but they did burn out pretty fast. Some vibrations break the filament. I would only recommend it because it raises the temperature very quickly."

Best bulbs purchased yet!
Date: February 9, 2008
"These bulbs are great, I keep a heat lamp on my lizzard constantly. I haven't changed a bulb in two months! They don't break very easily, I bought different bulbs a while ago and they were extremely fragile. I will probably not change bulbs again, EVER."

The Best light
Date: February 2, 2008
"I ve got a Armadillo lizard at home and I bought a ten gallon tank for it and the best supplies. But the one that stands out the most is the Zoo MedRepti Basking Spot lamp. I would like to thank the associate that suggested this to me because its lasted me a pretty long time. I got lizard 6 months ago and I m still on the first light I got. My lizard loves it to it gives him just the right amount of heat and it puts the light right on top of the rock instead of spreading it all over. And if someone asked me which light to use this would be the one. Thanks Petco."

best lights ever
Date: December 28, 2007
"if you have RES they are perfect, i have 2 lights for them on my 90 tank, and i only have to replace them about every month or so, ( the one's that last for 2,000 hours) it is way cool, to have these..
i also use them on my aquatic fish./frog tank and let me tell you it really helps bring up the temp in the water, they need a temp of about 80F or so. and i put this on top of a screen mesh and it works great, in fact i had 2 of the fish in there mate and had 1 baby YAHOO.. if you need to heat things up it works really well. just make sure you get the right wattage for your needs ( ie do not go over or under on the wattage)

Bad, Bad Lamp
Date: November 22, 2007
"Better off just using a normal bulb. For eleven bubks, this should work great, and yet, if any vibrations were made within five feet of it, it would die. my gecko killed it by running(ish) to get a cricket."

Will Buy Always
Date: November 17, 2007
"We have been using ZooMed bulbs for several years now. They have helped bring around some pretty sick lizards we have rescued. All of them are happy and healthy. In my experience of these bulbs, they last a long time. Very, very few ever burn out before their time, and who knows how they were treated before I purchased them. I don't think it is the bulb, ever, but the handling of the merchandise prior to purchase.
Most awesome reptile bulb ever!!!!"

Great bulb!
Date: August 26, 2006
"For me, this bulb lasts very long...Perhaps it is their lamp that makes the bulb blow-out so much.
Pair this with Fluker's clamp lamp, and you are good to go!
I use the 50watt, and all my reptiles are healthy and happy. If you want, buy a infra-red bulb or Black light bulb for nocturnal reptiles, or to make a day/night 24 hour system. I do this during winter because it gets pretty cold in Colorado, but don't in summer because you'll over heat your reptiles. Which is bad.
Overall: Awesome bulb!!

effective light
Date: May 8, 2006
"I was reading the other user reviews for these lights and I was surpised to see that so many people had trouble with their longevity. I have a 50 watt bulb that takes plenty of wear tear, sometimes more than normal and I haven't had any trouble. It provides a great heat source that my turtles love and now that my leopard gecko is too big for an under tank heater I plan to get her the same bulb. The Only problem is that this light does not give UVB radiation like some of the other ones on the market, but for nocturnal species that isn't a huge problem. Overall, a great choice."

Doesn't Last Long for the Price
Date: April 22, 2006
"I had a turtle jump off her dock and the shake in the tank burnt out the 1 week old bulb! My snakes love the spotlight but I have to replace it almost every month! I expect better quality from the brand and for the price."
