I LOVE this Litter
Date: November 10, 2008
"This litter is the best litter I have ever used. I had been using this litter with a regular box and found it a little too messy plus I was tossing out a lot, but I then got a 2 stage sifting pan and a 4 week supply actually lasts 4 weeks. I also got the scoop designed for it and now taking care of the box is a small task. Great Litter, sure wish I didn't have to go to the feline pine web site to get the box."

Excellent product

"I have been using feline pine for about a year. I have 3 cats. I have one big litter box and one tiny one. They mainly use the big one, and I literally forget to scoop, I will go a week without scooping, not to sound disgusting, but its because the smell is not there. Any one who is a cat owner knows the pungent smell of cat urine soaked into the bottom of the litter box, or the repulsive smell of an over used litter box. Its the first thing you smell when you walk in, but I don't have that problem using this litter. The litter can last me about a week and a half before I have to change it completely. The ONLY drawback, is the sawdust. My cats make a royal mess with it. Other than that it really does work."

Easiest/Cleanest

"I don't usually write these reviews, but I have actually stopped customers from buying other cat litters, and directed them to this... I first bought this product, because I was low on money at the time, so I had to do what I had to do. But when I took it home, and saw the pellets, I was like "oh no", but I had to try it. My cat had no problem knowing what to do with it. And when it was time for clean up, I was extremely surprised. NO MESS, NO CLUMPS, it just poured right out of the litter box. I now only buy others, if the store is out of stock of this brand of litter. It is so worth giving it a try."

Cats Used it Much Too Quickly
Date: July 7, 2008
"We bought this when we couldn't find our regular litter (World's Best Cat Litter). Our cats like it just fine (though they tend not to cover their feces) and the smell stays fresh. However, they go through it sooo quickly. It said the 7 pound bag should last a month. I will be shocked if we can stretch it to 2 weeks... it's almost all sawdust after just 1. That's disappointing."

Nonething like it

"I've been using the feline pine for about two years now and would not use anything else for my cats. When I first got my 2 kittens I tried the other stuff but I was so allergic to it and thought I would have to get rid of the cats until I found the pine litter, what a blessing that was. The cats just love to play with the little pine nugets, which drives me crazy at times but they are having fun. Knowing that there are no chemicals makes for a happy home."

Gr8 Litter!
Date: May 9, 2008
"I have used this cat litter for about 1-1/2 years now I love it! I also use the scoopable version of this litter and find that this one tracks far less than the scoopable. There is no odor and it leaves my cats box fresh! My cat loves to play with the pellets too, which is somewhat annoying but funny more!"

Here is how to scoop it...
Date: May 9, 2008
"I'm so glad to be using Feline Pine, thus eliminating the awful dust from the old stuff. Cats got used to it as I did a gradual switch over. Scoop this way so you don't waste good pellets: 1) push all contents of litter box to one end; 2) scoop by scoop, sift your scooper so that "sawdust" stays in the first half of box and you move the solid pellets to the empty end; 3) once pellets and sawdust are separated, dispose of sawdust; 4) scoop to remove solid waste; 5) spread out remaining pellets and add new pellets if needed. It did take some getting used to, but this is less messy and definitely much more "green." Minor drawback: a little louder when the cats are "covering up!""

Worth the effort!
Date: May 8, 2008
"It took me 2 months to get my three cats to switch over, but it was worth the effort! Make sure you cut out ever-other prong in your regular scooper or you will be throwing a lot of product away. 2 inches in the bottom of the box lasts 3 weeks, I recycle it in the garden, and instead of using a plastic bag a day to scoop, I use only one bag per week (keeping it in a sealed coffee can). It was a royal PAIN to do but I'd do it again."

Tried Twice and Failed

"To start off with it is hard to scoop especially with liquid waste. I tried it twice, you know to give it a second chance. Also my kitty didnt like it at all he was always really hesitant to go near the litter box when I used it."

LOVE IT!!!
Date: March 17, 2008
"I just recently adopted a 2 month old kitten from our local humane society and this is the littler they gave me when I left. All I can say is I love it!! It has a nice pine smell if you like pine and when your cat or kitten does thier business the pellets break down into saw dust. It keeps the urine smell way down but doesn't really do much for the BM smell. I keep the littler box in the bathroom so if my kitten does his business and it smells, I just scoop it out and flush it away. Love that... I've tried all other sorts of litter and this is the one that I've liked the best."

Not so good
Date: February 10, 2008
"I really wanted to like this litter. But I just didn't. I liked the idea of all natural and it did prevent the whole dust thing. But oh my goodness did it stink. You could smell everything in the box, and mine is in a secluded area. Plus, my cats wouldn't hardly urinate in it. So I was lucky to find little rivers all over the house. We just switched back to regular litter the other day and are much happier."

Great for outdoor cats
Date: February 8, 2008
"My cats are both mainly outdoor cats and don't normally use a litter box. In the Northern IL winters it is sometimes too cold to let them stay out. I've tried every type of litter available and this is the ONLY litter they will use! I like it because it truly absorbs the odors - no smelly litter boxes - and it is very environmentally safe. If you have a "fussy" outdoor cat that hesitates to use a litter box, try this brand."

Interesting Consept

"Works well but you have to totally replace the litter after 2 weeks b/c the litter is all saw dust. Litter does not help with the smell of BM. You have to flush the BM right away or the smell fills the area of the litter box."

Amazing litter
Date: February 5, 2008
"My cats refuse to use clumping litter, or scented litter. I hate cleaning out clay litter, it's so heavy, and smells awful. Feline pine pellets break down into light, fluffy sawdust when they get wet, and don't have the overwhelming ammonia smell from the cat urine. Plus, if you sprinkle some of the used sawdust in your garden, it will scare away pest animals like chipmunks and rabbits without adding clay to the soil."

Fantastic Product!
Date: January 25, 2008
"I use the regular pelleted Feline Pine for my ferrets and the scoopable for my cats - my cats wouldn't use the pelleted formula so I'm very glad they came out with a scoopable. I love it for my ferrets as they can be such stinky little guys. It controls their waste odor better than any other product I've tried. I just fill the bottom tray of their cage with the litter rather than try to train them to use a litter box. It helps control their own odor, too, since they use half of their tray to dig and play in. The only complaint I have about the scoopable litter I use for my cats is it tracks out of the box but so did the clay litter I used previously and this is much easier on my vacuum cleaner! I feel better about not exposing my cats to all the chemicals in clay litter."
