"I got my betta and he would hide in the corner and stay at the bottom of the tank.
He was also afraid of the light, even after I used the “recommended dose” of Stress Coat.
The chlorine and chloramines (and who knows what else; no test kits) in my city must be though the roof, as I needed twice the dosage that the bottle said to get my betta to become responsive and able to eat.
His change in activity (which took about ten minutes after Stress Coat) was remarkable; he was swimming all over the tank!
My neighbor’s betta did well on the dosage I first used; but all fish, like people, are different. IMHO it is better to err on the high dosage side."
